Uhmm..... so I need a little love advice again, guys~ ;3;
Yesterday, my friend Tim asked me to Homecoming. >___>U
This is good news! But... I'm still a little conflicted. I don't have any good girl friends to talk to about this irl and i wanted some manly opinions too. xD I feel like the main reason I'm conflicted is because I really like my other friend, Shaun, and (even though it's completely horrible to say) I probably would have wanted to go with him more; I feel like I know Shaun a lot better. He's definitely my best friend (cheesy, I know). One of the reasons why I gave Tim an immediate "yes" is because I'm under the impression Shaun is already going with someone else. And I am good friends with Tim too! But on the other hand, he's dated pretty much every other girl in the grade, so I figured my turn was coming up eventually. =__=U And what if he does want to date? I've never had a bf and my parents (stupid and backwards as they are) probably won't let me without a *lot* of coercing. To them, boys = sex = BAD. I really don't think Tim will have any problem impressing them though. Even though he's a bit of a perv he gets straight A's in all of his AP classes and is in the Newspaper Club with me. nyeh. My sister never dated so they think I shouldn't either.
I will definitely go to Homecoming with Tim. I hope we can just go as friends though. Geh... I'm worried. What if he tries to kissu me? D: I'm used to anime where the guy is way too polite and shy about stuff like that. >__>U Is it normal that I just want to be friends? ;3; I am kind of excited about the dance though (even if it's a month and a half away). We'll probably go in Shaun's group, so I'll see him either way. nnngh Boys are so troublesome. >____>u I don't want to avoid him, but I don't want to be all love-love either.
Opinions?? xD

It's all about how comfortable you are with him . If he makes a move, you choose whether to accept it or not! Sure, it might be awkward if you say "I don't want to", but at least you're asserting your opinion to prevent something you might regret later on =P. P.S: Information is POWER! Assume as little as possible Plus, if it's your best friend, couldn't you have jokingly done this situation? =D (semiserious lawl ) Hey! What? Got someone to go to Homecoming with? *raising eyebrow and elbow nudge combo GO!*
But then again, that's some sneaky tactic that I'd do to one of my close friends

Well you can go with him but not "flow" with his actions if you don't like them. You can say something like "I'm not ready for this" and maybe even add "yet". The thing is most girls don't show how they feel, they expect the boy to make all the moves so boys have to act out. :S If he still continues tell him in a definitive serious way "NO.".
As for what you should do in the whole "Shaun vs Tim", I can't quite say. You can sniff around to see if Shaun is seeing other people and you can ask him about it. I don't like the whole "it looks like it's my turn" thing with Tim, but hey, if it works, why not.

Go as friends. It is normal to want to be just friends so you shouldn't worry about that. Alice just go there and have fun... The point of these type of events is to dress up and have fun with all of your friends.

It all depends on the maturity, it always does =P. And it doesn't have to be serious maturity, it just has to be awareness maturity . That's why it sometimes works out in HS

Agreed. I know a couple who must have met late in Grade 9 and has kept going strong. I think supportive parents are a part of the equation.

So, how have you expressed your love this holiday? Don't say that you put a bunch of stuff into a chest and secretly gave it to someone, cause that's already taken ^^.

Is SAD cake supposed to cheer you up, or strengthen your sadness?
Also, does it have strawberries?
