Like Yoko implied, Red, the trauma will pass.  You'll be fine.  Anime/games/manga characters have to do this sort of thing once in a while, that's all.  Try not to pay such exhibitions too much attention!

I've a question, though.  What are these, erm, life forms (below) doing?  They bear a striking resemblance to one another.  I recall a scene from out of the past, wherein there were a lot of marching Yoko Ritonas.  Of course, long before that there were all those neutral-buoyancy Rei Ayanamis....

Red, I've just the thing for you!  It's the Livens Large Gallery Flame Projector and it'll throw a flame 100 meters.  Those who survive the attack itself will never rid themselves of its psychological impact.  In short, "cute" cannot withstand this weapon.
