Mahou Shoujo Madoka is like that for me. I have yet to watch an episode of that where I haven`t been biting my nails in anticipation of the next one. If you`re not a fan of darker stuff though, you might want to avoid it.

What about Giant Killing? If you like soccer and lots of episodes, it`d probably work out for you. I`ve only seen one episode, but it seems like they`re taking a franchise view with this series; by that I mean that the team starts out in about as low a league as you can get and so far has yet to have an above-.500 record. The coach is a kind of mysterious and interesting character, too.

Gosick may not have cliffhangers or anything, but it`s all about solving (murder) mysteries, so it`s at least a fairly involving show.

Giant Killing is an interesting one to recommend. The anime was only 26 episode, it wasn't fantastic but it was interesting.
I'll definitely echo the recommendation for Madoka Magica. It's a fantastic show.

I don't what you're watching or what you've watched so I'll just list a bunch.

Star Driver is quite interesting. It's building up to something and every week it's fun to watch.

Beelzebub is pretty much like Bleach/Naruto. I think it'll be another one of those long running series. The manga's already at 99 chapters and it's hilarious, the current arc is a training arc for the main character but there's a nice big cast of other characters who are just as fun to watch/read. The anime started and has a bunch of fillers already but it's good.

Summer Wars is a fantastic film that draws you in and keeps you there.
Welcome to the Space show is another great film. What's even more interesting is the main cast are voiced by actual children voice actors.

I recently watched Seirei no Moribito and that was great. I watched it in 2 or 3 days, I was hooked. The story flowed between episodes and I had no idea what to expect. Balsa is the most badass woman I've seen in anime for a long time.

I'm currently watching Blood+, it seems interesting and is done by Production I.G so I expect quality throughout. I'm not sure what's going to happen so maybe that's something you might enjoy.

Those are just a few random ones.

One of the ones I'd suggest is HunterxHunter... Quite a long Anime with a good story.
