Ehh... There's a ton of people who just showed up to get the game and go. It was colder than hell that night too. There was some stupid goth/emo kids there who thought they knew everything about FF too... Jackasses. >_>

Haha...

They were sitting around discussing story aspects that anyone would remember like how Cloud stole his identity from Zack and this fat goth chick had the nerve to talk to yaoi pairings. I was disgusted with the fans in the area.

There was at least one guy we had fun talking to about how nobody uses Yuffie and Cait Sith. xP

Red, when Final Fantasy VII was making the rounds I didn't have a computing system which could handle games.  It was sufficient, however, to know Ms Lockhart was out there in cyberspace fighting against tyranny.

Nice list of awesome women in various media. xP

Liking the Cammy and Morrigan (I like Lilith too but...).

Back to FFXIII, just stormed a Sanctum airship (the evil government lol) and totally getting ready to fight the Primarch. xP

Haven't been tacking on hours too hardcore lately but I've recently reached Gran Pulse. I now get free time to run around working on C'ieth quests (pretty much sidequests) to get awesome items, gil and xp. Hoping to upgrade all my weapons and acc. at this time so I can get prepped for the oncoming battles. :3

I finally decided to pick up this game for 2,000yen, but when do I actually get done with the tutorial portion of this game?! I just got through the Shiva Battle tutorial, and I still feel like there are still more tutorial left. Why can't they dump like two or three tutorials on players at once? We're not kindergarteners, and believe it or not CAN think for ourselves.

*sigh* modern game companies and designing games for the lowest common denominator...

PS: That "hallway feeling" is certainly extent in these early chapters. I like the feeble attempts at hiding treasure chests, though. It makes me feel like I'm actually finding crazy secrets without taking all the trouble that you normally would in an RPG.

It gets better once you get to.... forgot the name but it's a huge plains and you can do the little side quest things. You keep learning crap in little tutorials for quite a bit too. ^^;;

Yeah, seriously. I played all day and made it to the Sunleth Valley or whatever with... damn, I don't even remember their names. Saz (sazzu) and the high-pitched girl. AND they're STILL throwing tutorials at me like "avoid the enemies that are really strong." At least now that I have Odin and some decent abilities, it's a pretty fun battle system. The optima thing is pretty cool.

The reason why people say this game gets much better in the second half is cos it's THEN the fucking tutorials are over, and you have the whole battle system unlocked. It's ridiculous.

FF is dead.

I still like FF, but I agree with Red. I feel like FFX and on have just been getting worse until the point where it's almost complete shit (*cough*FFXIV*cough). Don't know if the company will save themselves or if things will just get shittier. :\

When you unlock all the classes and stuff, the battles can be very awesome SK. You can build each character as every class if you work hard enough. I still thought that Fang, Lightning and the shota emo kid were the best party though. Fang kicks ass!

I like the more direct attack/blaster-concentrated characters too.

Snow and the emo kid HAS to be the worst combo ever. Wimpy kid whom EVERY enemy targets, and a guy who can only use his fists (at least up through Ch.07) who has to just keep taunting and taking damage so the kid doesn't get hurt? Lame.
