Chotto matte!  I watched the first four episodes of Highschool of the Dead (HotD) today and I liked it.  I mean, look at this screen capture I made, then tell me what's not to like:

Well?  It's Takagi Saya and some zombies!  Yeah!  Before Satō Daisuke, Satō Shōji, Fujimi Shobō, Kabushiki-gaisha Kadokawa Shoten and then Kabushiki-gaisha Maddohausu stuck her with those dopey eyeglasses, Saya was hotter than Hell.  All right, she's still hot; and I love her attitude, too.  Plus, Miyamoto Rei is quite the hottie.  So ... there!  Oh, the story?  It's, erm, all apocalyptic-like 'n' stuff.  Satisfied?

But seriously, what's all this about the anime series being too slow?  After Tengen Toppa Gurren-Laggan even the speed of light seems slow, so let's not write off the HotD anime as a big flop - yet.  Let's give it a chance.  Yeah!  "All we are saying, is give HotD a chance.  Everybody, sing!  All we are saying, is give HotD a chance...."

I didn't know if I really wanted to start watching this but I just plunged into it now.

I think it's quite good. It's been a while since I last even looked at anything to do with the manga but it seems to be following it alright.
Except when Komuro & marina inoue voiced girl reunites with the rest of the crew. I don't remember them making such a flashy entrance and then Bushujima doing some mad skillz. Maybe they added it in to spice things up a bit.

It was still entertaining. I loved the slo-mo moment when the fat kid shoots and Komuro dodges it. Thought that was intense.

Dammit, last I heard they had only just started on it. Didn't realize they're already showing episodes. I've been reading this since chapter 1. I'm going to have to watch this when I get home!

Episode was entertaining. I'm more excited about the next episode and seeing the interaction between Saeko and the main dude.

I didn't realise until this episode that all of the characters lack common sense. How did they not realise that their car was higher than the wire their car was flush against blocking the zombie things from passing? Why did it take until them running out of ammo for the gun guy to suggest dropping the girl on the other side of the wire? Seriously...

I enjoyed the ep where the main dude was on the bike and flung saeko and all that badass stuff happened but breasts moving quick enough for a bullet to pass through? I'm disappointed. Plus it's gonna end soon, are they gonna end it with America nuking everyone?
