Plus, in the English textbook they use in Ep09 actually exists, and the schools I teach at use it. It's called "New Horizon" and the story they're reading is about a blind Mexican-Japanese named Aragaki Tsutomu who becomes a gospel singer.

I watched the first episode when it came out but I don't know, I respect what it is and that it's probably very good but I wasn't really interested in it.

I'm watching this show as well. But someone on another forum I frequent is upset that this adaption does not cover a certain point of the manga (vols 1-4, iirc). That makes me ask, why?

Seeing as they massively condensed the manga into only 11 episodes.... they had to cut out a large portion of it and leave it mostly to flashbacks and montages.

The first 33 chapters of the manga were effectively cute out.
