No, this isn't intended to be a "oh god, AnCo before was sooooooooo good" topic. It's merely a new topic for us to either laugh about, or actually discuss how to get our forum energy back  Smiley.

So I was reading the AnCo girl's thread, wondering why it popped back, and the latest posts made me a bit sad Sad

However, 5 minutes later I was laughing at the possibility of this.

AnCo + Product Placement + Fan Hype ==> 300+ comments + Employment for Moderators!

I can just imagine it now. Product placement in a random CLAMP anime. Anyways, I ask the forum to share their thoughts on any crazy or serious ideas about how to get the energy running here again! Competitions? Shameless advertising? Viral marketing? An....AnCo hot guys/girls calendar? Cheesy

AnCo forum's dead, and have been for years.
IRC on the other hand, is a totally different matter.

I think that just much harder to maintain a forum these days, people are lazy.
We've never seen websites hits like this in AnCo history, while at the same time we have the least posts ever recorded.

Here's an idea:  Resurrect the Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann projects.  At least figure out a way to publicize the fact we've got the first feature film in its entirety, the complete high-school manga, 17 chapters of the parallel manga and 12 chapters of Yoko's belly-button 4-koma.  What would be even better, in my opinion, would be to complete Yoko's belly-button 4-koma; and it would be good, I think, to make a decision about whether the parallel manga is going to be abandoned or completed.

Those unfinished TTGL projects are the elephant in the room that nobody talks about; and by sitting there gathering dust in a queue which never moves they throw a shadow on the fact there's already a bunch of TTGL stuff which is available here now.  At least complete Yoko's 4-koma and be enthusiastic about it.  All that bellyaching on the board a while back about how tired people were of working on TTGL stuff sure sent the wrong message.  The staff should be proud of that work!

Anyway, that's all I've got to say in regard to the serious side of this semi-serious subject.  I'll go drop dead now.

Undecided
