Whenever I try to play any fullscreen game (AoE II, SC, WC III, MS, etc) it winds up being a smaller screen. The entire screen is taken up, but the game only takes up a small portion of the screen in the center. The rest is just black space, and I can't mouse over it either. It's like whenever I open up a full screen game, it shrinks the size of my monitor. Any ideas?

try updating your graphic card driver, this sounds weird.
also, I think there should be an option related to that in the driver's options, how the output behaves (stretch to screen or not, fixed resolution, something like that).

what graphic card?

My graphic card driver has been updated. It actually only began recently. (I use to play all those games normally)

Unfortunately, all I have is the generic Intel integrated one.
Mobil Intel 965 Express Chipset Family.

igh...

It could be some setting in your drivers.

Also, i guess you've tried changing the resolution ingame?

It might be because of xp service pack 3.... try changing the resolution of your monitor before you even start playing.

did it occur all at once or did it gradually happen?

and there could be driver settings. in an nVidia driver there's a setting on how the screen behaves, one of them is fixed resolution (ei the screen stays the same).

and yes, try using the same resolution as the games as the normal resolution you use.

it just happened all at once. One day I was playing normal full-screen, the next day, all my games were in a miniature full-screen.

I've already messed with the resolution in-game. doesn't help.

yup reinstalling Windows.
could be a problem with DX, you can get stuck with those for quite some time. Had a huge problem with 3D games once after something happened with Priston Tale.

go ask Maplestory forums about that, they'll probably know something about that.

and? they don't know anything about it?
try reinstalling your graphic driver. it is very important to remove the old driver.

reinstall DX?

hmm I suppose you can contact Microsoft tech support. They have a huge one, something is bound to come up.
