Last month we recorded the biggest numbers of unique visitors in the history of AnCo^2.

6.5k visitors.

We beat the record in our Rizon IRC channel multiple times with over 40 people at times.
We constantly have around 20 people in the channel, and people actually talks.

And then we have this.

December, January and February combined results into the lowest average over three month AnCo has ever noted.
(And this month sure wont show much of an improvement.)

So, what's going on guys? How do we get this place talking?

Message boards are different things to different people, satisfying different needs.  Most who post here are in a hurry, or so it seems to me.  That "wall of text" cliche which I periodically encounter tells me the clientele would probably rather be in a chat room than on a message board.  Perhaps it's a matter of visually-oriented people versus writing-oriented people.  Many visits but few posts tells me visitors aren't finding what they'd hoped to find, whatever that may be.  Or, maybe they're just checking on what's in release and never really make it to the message-board part of the site.

Huh

yeah, as ANCO becomes more popular, with all the new releases, maybe people decide to also check out the forum, but then think it is too "elite" and leave.

Ehh.. I think people just check it out but have no interest in joining. Wish it was more popular though.

I have an idea for a temporary spike in forum visits. It might not lead to repeat visitors, but it'd introduce people to the forums.

Did you see that email in ep 11 between Kida and Ryugamine? There's way too much text that scrolls too fast to have someone AFX it, but I was thinking I could create a thread about omake TLs and put that in there. Then we could link to it on the newspost, so people would have to visit the forums if they want to see it.

That would work. Things like TL note and the like could bring some in. xP
