There I am in front of the Lincoln Memorial. It was somewhat hard to get a photo of just yourself. There were many people looking to take photos.
After this was all done we left to go on to Hershey, PA. As a side stop, I wanted to go to Snyders of Hanover, PA. This company makes Pretzels and other edibles.

This is a google street view of the factory outlet store for Snyders. This is where I spent over 30 bucks on Pretzels, and a laptop carry bag. (10 dollars on that) After fueling up on Pretzels and gas we continued northward to Hershey, PA.
The last few days in Hershey, PA were somewhat sucky (at least the hotel was) The room that they stuck us in was quite spartan and they were just two full size beds... The beds were comfortable enough but I felt like I was in a cracker box. The table that I had the computer on had a top that had tape on it to hold the top down. and near the back where you normally wouldn't look was a chunk taken out of the top part of the linoleum cover. The Bathroom sink actually set too high for my liking and the air conditioner was struggling to keep the room cool.
We desired to go into Hershey to see what we could eat. They had a Wendy's, a Red Robin and a Dunkin Donuts. We Opted fro the Red Robin and I had a Bacon Burger with pickles and olives. (if you want olives on your burger like I do, and the server says they don't have any, tell them to go to the bar and get some from there. ) The olives at the Red Robin are large and they will normally give you about 6-8 of them... too many to easily put on a sandwich since you have to cut them, but you can always eat the rest.

My Burger turned out more Rare then well done so I told them to redo it.
We all got back to the room and I started hooking up the computer and I noticed that there wasn't an Ethernet cable in the room for me to hook the computer to. My computer was equipped with WiFi, but for some unknown reason, I couldn't get the windows XP based WiFi to connect to a signal. (although using utilities to find WiFi signals, like netstumbler worked just fine.) Being a computer technician I should have been able to fix this myself, but I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I tried turning on and off the WiFI signal to no avail. Imagine working on something that you know alot about and finding a problem that you just can't solve on your own even though you are sure you can and you will have an idea of my frustration at this point. I finally ended up going down to the front desk and asking about getting a wireless card from them so I would at least be able to access the internet and they gave me a wireless bridge (although it's actually called a pocket router

We woke the next day to eat breakfast in the common room of the hotel. A nice feature of any Hampton Inn is the fact that they give you a free breakfast. They have cereal, Bagels/bread/muffins/biscuits and oatmeal. They then have a main part of the breakfast which will change everyday the two days we stayed had Sausage patty and a small Omelet. After we ate we went on to the Hershey Park. The place was a real tourist trap, with a road that leads you into the park area where you have to pay a 10 dollar fee to park your vehicle, or you can pay a bit extra to park closer to the park. :p We ended up parking further away and just walked to the park.

This is the factory / outlet store for Hershey Park. Here you are able to buy boxes of chocolate on the cheap as well as other candies. You were also able to make your own candy bar with up to three different fillings. I chose rice puffs and chocolate chip chunks. They also had a Hershey Kiss conveyor belt where you could pack your own Hershey kisses. You would also get a ID badge which you don't get with the Hershey make your own candy bar thing. We did this stuff last after staying the entire day at the park. This was what my daughter enjoyed doing the most, although my wallet didn't like it. Cost to get into the park was about 140 dollars for the three of us. Guess we should have looked at prices before going. :p
I had rode on some of the rides, but it seems that they have sort of lost there spark on me. I was more apprehensive of the rides then I was when I was half my age. I did ride the Ferris wheel and the mixer but that was about it. Rides and my weight just don't get along. Guess it's another good reason to loose some weight.
We left the park somewhat late and we got to the hotel to discover our rooms air conditioner was not working. The Manager was able to get us into another room but it only had one queen size bed and he gave us a fold out bed which is what I slept on. I didn't sleep well, but Meh, the room was nice and cool.
The rest of the trip was uneventful. Just that it was a long drive back home. I'll be posting more about each stop with pictures later. I'll also give a review of the TomTom I was using to drive around with.
