I decided to just go for it and apply for level N5 of the JLPT so I need to get studying.

Good motivation! When I took old level 3 in 2006 I found the lack of kanji in the reading section actually made it tougher. N5 probably have very little.

I feel stuck. I really want to learn but I don't know what to do anymore.
I feel like I've forgotten most of it all but when I go back to start on the basics I start to skim saying to myself 'I know that', but then I feel like I'm just repeating myself.
