I agree with your assessment of House, M.D., Red: it's the best "doctor" series out there at present. Grey's Anatomy was good during its first season, but then it became the darling of young adult women and all subsequent seasons have been soap operas. (A similar overarching scenario change happened to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series as well, when series creator/producer Joss Whedon indulged in a personal hiatus after four seasons. He handed production over to an assistant, who promptly turned the series into a soap opera. Ratings plummeted, Whedon rushed back to fix the problem; but it was too late and the series died. Grey's Anatomy is immune to such a disaster, as it's so politically correct [unlike Buffy] that its core audience of young adult women sticks to it like glue.) Hugh Laurie is a brilliant actor who plays his part well. The secondary characters are, erm, all right I guess; but a few of them are too heavy-handed when demonstrating their acrimonious relationships with House. Plus, I'm unimpressed by the fact producers think House needs to be regularly humiliated by an authority figure. That is such a tedious and worn-out cliche! Enough, already! Hospitals have squillions of dollars and phalanxes of attorneys, so keep the anal-retentive bean-counter types in their offices and let House do his thing. =^..^=

http://anco2tower.blogspot.com/2009/07/das-haus.htmlI love Hugh Laurie. He was a reasonably good comedian back in the 80s.

<3 House. But I don't have TV. I will wait for the DVDs like always and watch them all in one go. An overload of House is never a bad thing.

I haven't watched it in a long time, but I do watch it from time to time. House is cool as hell too. He comes strolling in wearing Led Zeppelin shirts and stuff. xP

Well for those that haven't seen it yet, here's a torrent link: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2976445At the time of posting, seeds are a bit low right but soon there will be plenty. Or for those who don't wanna download a 2GB file here's one under 1GB http://www.mininova.org/tor/2976524Why the first one is 2GB is mainly cause it's x264 codec and 720p, the smaller one is XviD and is at 624×352.

Bravo, House, M.D.! That two-hour episode last night was very well done, in my humble opinion. It was good to see House away from the regular supporting cast; and I hope that separation takes place frequently from now on. (I find the regular supporting characters have become too predictable and hence tedious.) Andre Braugher was excellent in the role of Darryl Nolan, M.D., at Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital. I want to see House take a sabbatical, join Médecins Sans Frontières, go to some risky Third World location and help destitute patients. That would be good, I think, for several episodes. It'll never happen, of course. =^..^=

Lol no that sure wont happen.
House needs to get his thing for Cuddy on.
And I miss Wilson. Him and House doing their thing is the funniest parts of the show. lol

I too like James Wilson, M.D., Captn' Red. Unlike most viewers I'm not a big Lisa Cuddy, M.D., fan. That's probably due to my general low-level hatred of administrators. They're all bean counters! On the other hand Remy Hadley. M.D., is a fascinating gal. House needs to hook up with her, with help from the script writers, ditch the bean counter and get on with life. I also really liked Amber Volakis, M.D., though not as much as did Wilson. But she died, resulting from a Frida Kahlo type of bus accident - for which travesty I'm going to slap the series' producer. =^..^=

I thought the first episode of the new season was really well-done, from the opening scene w/ Radiohead's No Surprises to the end where he had to deal with the crazy cellist's friend. I really wish they could've prolonged his time in the psych ward. I know he had to leave eventually, since this story arc did not resemble the regular formula of the show at all, but it was so interesting! And I really have to wonder how much this "trying to trust people" thing while on SSRIs is going to affect the sardonic humor this show is so known for. I want to see House take a sabbatical, join Médecins Sans Frontières, go to some risky Third World location and help destitute patients. That would be good, I think, for several episodes. It'll never happen, of course. =^..^=
That would be awesome. I want to see him belittle unsuspecting patients in Third World countries.
