---------INTRODUCTION---------

Greetings, and welcome to all of you. Welcome to the new, rethought Sister Thread to the next Chapter of the Clash Series:

The Vast Struggle

This first Post will only feature the actual origins of this upcoming story we are about to write. If you don't give, you don't have to read it. The rest follows shortly.

---------ORIGIN---------

I - The Grand Showdown

A few years ago, the first Chapter of the Clash Series, "The Grand Showdown," was thrown into living in a rush by myself, and soon, answering its true call, people followed. The original intention of the Series (which wasn't a series at all to begin with) was simply to pit the forum avatars against each other in a long, endless, bloody and awesome brawl.

That worked, to some extent. I opened with a first post, and was followed by my main adversary shortly after. Then, unexpectedly, after the first few entries, people just started walking in and writing, completely unannounced but doing a good job, and so they stayed. In all completion, there stood the old Challengers and Fathers and Mother of the first of the Series; Admiral TigerClaw, Orion, Shuji, Keinaru Miyazaki and myself. TigerClaw was a battle-hardened master of an intergalactic space-station, allied with soldiers, technicians and even a goddess.  Orion was a cybernetic, once human specimen who crashed to earth in hopes of saving mankind from an unknown evil. Shuji was a normal human, or so she thought, with ancient links to a race of powerful guardians which protected the life of the worlds, who came hurtling to the conflict while looking for her missing husband. Keinaru was Tsukasa, the embodiement of a great calamity that fell from the skies and space, threatening and aiming to consume the planet. I was Ksomoto Ryuuchi, an elite Ninja-Rounin, proficient in elemental techniques and all forms of combat. And Shuji's husband, so I was noticed. *teardrop*

The fight began to explode, and then suddenly, sides were created through creativity and imagination and before we could call it, there were two sides -one of Good and one of Evil - fighting in the same thread. And this thread had gained a depth and an importance in character growth and problem-solving. Eventually, this led to the bastard attempt of a storyline, and it kept being so for the actors kept at it. But it worked. And it was awesome. EVERYONE loved it.

However, the problem was that the original intent was still an all-out brawl where one might show to be mightier than the rest. Ensued diverse struggles of power in between teammates and confusion between posts. This led to conflicts out-game in the ancestor of these here archives and stubbornness and redundancy in-game. And eventually, the "Challengers" had enough, one by one, and they left. The thread died.

As if this was not enough, the thread and the entire forum's data was corrupted and a major data-loss occurred. With this, we lost about 99.7% of the entirety of our collaborative work, including both the Archives and Showdown items. So great was the loss it disheartened us from it. Eventually, not long after, I went away from the Forums, motivation killed.

This was the definite and official end of the Grand Showdown.

II - The Great Conflict

Less than a year back, I've come back to the great forums of AnCo. I had come back many times and attempted to get another story started many times, but it failed every time.

Most Writers from the original Chapter had lost interest in writing something like it again, disheartened or simply not interested. Admiral had left the forums entirely, Keinaru - who was a loyal friend and a frank follower of my then leading of the Yue fanclub (from Negima) - was disappointed and hurt when I left (he had come in slightly after me and saw me as some kind of brother... he'd probably disagree with that today <.>), feeling left behind, abandoned. He had no love for working with me anymore. Shuji decided a lot of things had become a waste of time and that she disliked roleplaying, Orion had no time (or motivation).

I was by myself, trying to hire from a whole forum's board containing people that saw me now more of a buggance than anything else. Some ideas I had attracted people but didn't fly, most others didn't have the substance that the GS had.

I left AnCo alone, once more, and for a long time I didn't return. However, one day, I came back again because of an email notice of getting a Personal Message (PM) on the forum, which stated the 100th release of the site. This brought back many memories and I came back again to say hello to everyone and apologize for being gone.

Shortly after I went on a quest to find what was left of the Grand Showdown. There wasn't much, as I've said before. And I missed it.

I opened a thread, asking the people if they would join, would I decide to make another one just like it. The old Writers weren't interested, still. Keinaru bent a bit into joining, but eventually declined. Some people applied but went away when they were limited or failed to understand at first. However, some people stayed. And some new ones were added.

Zanny and MadWolf, - who both wanted to join in the GS but came knocking too late - this time took up arms and decided to charge in, ready for an adventure. Soon also entered Takeshi Rinku and Juusho, read as well. With four new writers, I was ready to write. And the Great Conflict was ready to be born, itself bringing the Clash Series to life.

However I did not forget the bitter disaster of the Grand Showdown. This could not remain a simple game. If it would, Challengers would once again escalate into neverending Goku-ness and never back down, leading to another exhaustion. So I made it a game that was ALSO a story.

However, no matter the rules I passed, there was no significant limiter still, and things got out of hand and focus fast. A grip was still maintained, but constant check was needed and it was bringing fatigue. A vague scale of power graph was brought and it glided a bit further, but that was it. Eventually, by different causes, the lack of a female lead Challenger (for a then-NPC) and different power issues and lack of posting, the Great Conflict, started like fireworks, grinded to a halt, died like flash fire: gloriously but fast.

Now incomplete, it rests but is still waiting. One day, the story will be written. Before the end drew in, some Writers spoke and discussed, and although the events to get there were unclear, many elements were laid out and the storyline was sewn together from thin air, and eventually came to life an ending. The way to reach it is still a mystery. Nonetheless, an ending was definitely decided in the shadows of the GC, and so it remains until today...

One day, Writers will return to the Great Conflict and will write it down to the last word. That is its present fate.

III - The Vast Struggle:
The upcoming Chapter of the Clash Series...

And now, here we are...

EDIT: BEFORE anyone asks me. I am writing this story for plain old fun. I AM hoping everyone has crazy fun and that we have a blast, AND that it goes over everyone's expectations. You guys are the reason why I'm so eager to get this started and why I believe I'll have fun doing it.

HOWEVER

I AM planning to write a book about the Clash Series, with, of course, those stories we'll write as the subject. I AM, therefore, going to take what we wrote, modify/correct it, and format it so that it fits a book nicely. I AM planning to going somewhere eith that book I'll write, not just put it on my pc, leave it in a file and on a USB key. I'm talking about MAYBE PUBLISHING it. For THAT reason, I AM letting you all know NOW: You've ALL read what I'm planning to do here. I am NOT going to ask you for every single part I'll decide to take for the final product since it'd take forever because it's most of what would be here. IF you write with us, I'm very very pleased and overjoyed, but I hope you don,t have a problem with me creating material from it or WITH it because yes, I intend to get somewhere with it, I think it's a story that's worth it, this universe I'm trying to create. Of course, I can't stop any of you from doing any derivate of creation from it either, I'm just letting you know because I'm a fair guy. If anything isn't clear here, let me know. I'll fill you in. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND SERIOUS! REREAD IF YOU'RE NOT SURE YOU GOT IT ALL!!!

---------HOW IT GOES---------
(This Page will be modified many times. I'll adjust as it goes to make sure I'm not looped. <.<)

Now then, shall we start on the important stuff?

First off, for those people that skipped the Origins Post, what is the Vast Struggle? Right. The Vast Struggle is the third issue of a newly born series known as the Clash Series over where I'm at. Those series were initially just posts in a thread that allowed the Challengers (or people participating in them) to whack at each other in their avatar's form. However that swiftly turned into a constructive storyline and such stories were born from them. At first attempt it turned sour because clashes would never end and power struggles became too common. It stagnated and died. In the second attempt, restrain and an attempt at a serious storyline were brought in, but not severely enough and people grinded down to a halt once again. And this, well... as I said, this is the third one.

More concrete idea? This here is a collectively written story containing multiple main characters of each Challenger's choosing as their own, written in posts that feature each character's perspective in their respective posting. If that was confusing, I'll get back to it later. If you're here and reading this and you're not an AnCo mod, there's a good chance you've been chosen to come and write with us in the collective story that is the Vast Struggle.

I will take the next part from the generic idea of the past one, readapted slightly to make it more efficient. The Vast Struggle is a story, roleplaying and battle thread I once set up a long time ago, then known as the Grand Showdown, which starts out as a regular fight (comparable even to a street fight, to begin with) which escalates into an all out war due to the protagonists resources and powers. One starts the thread with a post that describes the present situation they are in along with their actions and possibly their speech lines and then post, waiting for other's input. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to start or end the story. Technically.

You are presently standing in the official and "permanent" Sister Thread of this story: The Struggle Archives. If you ever hear about something that sounds like this, it refers to this place. Bookmark it. You'll thank me.

In this thread, I will be administering as of functionality, comprehension and troubleshooting concerns. Why? Because I've done this whole ordeal before and I tend to know how it functions or how it should function, you know, having created the universe and concept and all. Don't worry, I'm usually nice.

I'll try here to cover as best as I can the rules of the Vast Struggle and the use of this thread. Yes, it's a hard read, but it's worth it and VERY IMPORTANT. If you ignore this, I can almost guarantee you'll hate the experience... as you won't be a part of it.

------USAGE aka HOW THE ARCHIVES WORK------

The Archives are a place where the Challengers (or Players) will post to communicate information to and from each other, ranging from character profiles to discussions about situation outcomes. As of such, this is also where you will talk about your misunderstandings, concerns and where you will give out precisions you need the other players to observe. This will greatly improve the storytelling and efficiency, making them more accurate and will help people troubleshoot situations and to understand something that is going on without actually having to use up a post in-game and ruining the mood or the context. And of course having me forcing you to delete it to put it in the right place.

Since this place will include the character backgrounds, ability overviews, intentions, positions, etc. of other challengers' characters - along with yours - it is also here that you will come and dig for information about other characters and ask questions about them. Doing so will help you function better and will help everyone work their way around easier when writing. As such, posting information about your character as it becomes available and researching about other characters' information is YOUR RESPONSABILITY. While there is no direct consequence to missing to accomplish this, know that the story's depth and procedure is greatly influenced, especially considering you are probably writing for an important part of the story.

There are good chance that the character you are writing for is not an ordinary character. You are impersonating an extraordinary individual, a "Hero" of some sort. It doesn't matter if you're Good or Evil-willed, that's how they're called. That's how YOU'RE called. A Hero. Researching other Heroes' information and functions are a crucial part of this story-writing. Doing so will permit you (and consequently, sometimes, your Hero) to understand information about that particular Hero you are researching that might be useful in your part of the story, or an ability, which will help you work with or around it, perhaps. All depends on the accuracy and details of said information given. This can prevent breaking the story flow because someone didn't understand how something worked, wasting a lot of time.

After that point, it's all up to you. Making more research than others, however, usually helps in creating strategies and variety, making your story more interesting than a generic "fill-the-blank" example.

Basically, your responsability is to come here, post data on your character as it becomes available, and to get yourself up to date on the Archives after reading updates in the Story Thread (before rushing in telling everyone you're lost or posting something without understanding the context or worse... falling behind.) Everything you should be looking for should be here, so there is no excuse. If it isn't here, you still have no excuse because you next responsability is to ask your questions on this thread!

------RULES for the ARCHIVES + VAST STRUGGLE------

1. How to Enter. Characters failing to observe these could very well be ignored in the story thread, being that we don't like people butting inside of things to destroy the hard work. They could be asked by the Active Challengers (those who follow the rules and post efficiently) to delete their posts for better continuation of the story.

Challengers wishing to join the Vast Struggle must observe certain requirements:

-Challengers must create, choose and develop a main character
-Characters cannot be existing videogame/anime/religions character. Nothing, however, disapproves the possibility of inspiring oneself from such.
-Challengers are allowed to use only ONE main character at a time. If you wish to use another, your present character will have to leave or (most likely) die.
-Challengers must provide their character with a character background.
-Challengers must present their character to the Archives for approval before throwing it onto the Vast Struggle battlefield. This is for the case of possible balancing or overpower issues.

EXCEPTIONS: There are cases where characters are better left obscured a tad in order to create mystery for something that must be revealed (with a surprise effect) later. That is fine to be kept back, as long as it doesn't affect gameplay. As soon as information that would be relevant arises, you should post it immediately. This measure stated above, however, could be considered as "Anti-Spoil". Everyone hates spoilers. If you like spoilers, you're not much on the globe. Population-wise.

2. Vast Struggle Rules aka THINGS YOU MUST OBSERVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE VS (Vast Struggle) AND NOT BE GANG-OWNED, IGNORED OR CAST OUT!

-Challengers are not allowed to make decisions for other challengers.

-Challengers are not allowed to impose a situation or condition onto another challenger. As such, no challenger has the right to decide if they injured another, if another picked up an item or thought a precise thought (among numerous other examples)

-Challengers are not allowed to control more than one main character. Every challenger is, however, allowed to create several temporary (or minor) characters. "Temporary characters" are characters that a challenger plans will die or disappear eventually (preferably not too far away in time), either by having their character kill them or by themselves leaving. Examples of temporary characters feature monsters and adversary npcs. "Minor characters" are characters that have an impact on the story/characters and are not meant to die in a specific manner or time. Exmaples of minor characters feature crew members and other non controllable friendly characters. The challengers may create and control those at will, but neither minor nor temporary characters are able or allowed to participate/trigger key events in the story. Keep that in mind.

-Do NOT metagame. Matagaming involves using information known to the challenger BUT unknown of his character and using such information as if the character was aware of it. That is HIGHLY unpleasant, not to mention UNFAIR, and completely takes away the fun in participating. An example of metagaming would be for a character to make us of an information that the challenger found in the Archives in the story thread, but that the character itself could in no way be aware of. Metagaming sucks. Avoid it. Period.

------TIPS------

-Try and incorporate a character that has strengths and weaknesses and try to balance their powers. Nothing stops you from having HUGE potential (trust me, I've seen FIENDS!!!) as long as it doesn't smudge the experience for anyone else.

-Don't stick on small stuff. You can't force anything onto other challengers. Your attack won't work? Deal with it. There is no one that knows the characters as much as the challengers controlling them. If your plan won't work, either try again or try something different. It's based on fair-play, and you'll have to trust the others' judgement. If it becomes problematic, post your problem HERE and we'll discuss it. And then deal with the problem. Until then, let's deal with it in calmly.

-Make battles dynamic and interactive. Your character might want to kill another challenger's character, and he/she may REALLY be trying to, but you're fully aware it's a story, and that YOU'RE not really trying to kill them. Make battles interesting by making your characters seem like they're giving their all to defeat the opposing characters but keep in mind to keep it cool and not push it too hard. YOU (the challenger) don't want to kill the characters. YOUR CHARACTER does. Acting. ^^

-To make posts more interesting, try resuming what the last post described and acted out (if it concerns your scene; no need to go over something that happened at the other end of the planet which your character is totally unaware of), describe your character's environment and thoughts, and then act out what you want your character to do, in words and/or actions. If you want, you can try to hint the next post, but keep in mind that... ^^

-...You should never force a condition or situation on any other challenger or character. You can make a scene as long as you like, as long as it doesn't force anything major onto the other characters' situations. If you changed their plans by doing so but didn't cause a distortion in their capabilities, they'll find a way around it. For example, if a character wants to lure an adversary down a cliff but that same adversary just engaged in a small sword exchange, that might slightly change the way they planned to bring you there, so maybe they'll think of something else. Or change their plans. It's hard to explain, but we're ALL going to have to try and be flexible here. Sometimes, in life, things don't always go as planned. ^^

-When you post your profile, try and provide an image. It always helps people get a good idea of what you look like and may help them visualize and interact with your character, both verbally and physically. ^^

-Of course there will be sides in a battle. At first, chances are I'll supply the adventure with opposing forces for the challengers to confront, but as time passes by, opposing fronts may start to appear by themselves. Don't sweat it. As much as any challenger can spawn opposing temporary NPCs to kill at will, I'll help out with that myself even if you don't.

Dont hesitate to ask questions about anything that comes to mind you might interrogate yourself with. I'll always do my best to answer and I'll post it so everyone can see and benefit from it. Chances are, if it's on your mind, I may have simply forgotten to write it and you reminding me would solve an important problem.

Your first objective here would probably be to post a character profile, including their names, containing their background and physical appearance. Any other information (such as age, nationality, etc.) is at your discretion to include, but the more precise of an idea you have about your characters, the better you'll do in incarnating them. Consider it like acting. You have to know who you are if you're to play him well. It's that simple.
Thank you for reading up and good luck!
Now let's see some profiles!

Keep on the lookout for the story thread. It'll be called "The Vast Struggle". Once I get that the first participants are aware of the sister thread, I'll open it up.

Okay So this is a Sample Character Profile I've fished out and skinned for you guys. It's from my character for the Great Conflict. It's pretty complete, the only limit is your own mind, feel free to modify it and add stuff to it as you see fit. These are mostly all just examples.

First Name: John
Last Name: Doe
Age: 22
Occupation (Everyday Life/Fighting Class): Student/Martial Artist
(I usually post a picture of my character here)
Backstory:
Now this could take a while, I'll let you think up your own. Tongue

Proficiencies: (Very Low to Very High)
A) Gunshooting (Low)
B) Hand to Hand Combat (Mid)
C) Swordfigthing (High)

Fighting Style: Here you describe how your character functions in combat situations, very generally, and his efficiency.

Some Techniques Examples:

Hand-to-Hand Techniques:
-
-
-

(Add here more technique types and examples as you see fit and necessary, then etc, etc.)
(If you have techniques that require a type of equipment or element, try to post a picture, it's helpful.)

Kenjutsu (Blade Techniques):
-
-
-

Personality:  This is basically where you put a blueprint of your character's presonality profile; how he acts, thinks, important things to him, etc.

Fighting Map: This is a basic, general approach to how your character likes to fight, some sort of pattern, habit or preference in progression.
Pros:

Cons:
(These are basically points that make good or bad effect to your character, in and out of fights, possibly in between or just before, also. They are physical, mental, medical, psychological or whatever else you may want to have them be. The limit is your imagination. Be precise and be complete.
_______________________

I might modify this again though, so, be sure to come check out.  It's a good idea to leave things that are best discovered later (surprise effect) out until they are brought up. However, we DO require a sample of some techniques so we can discuss your character.

If there are any questions about the character profile, send me a PM or write it on here and I'll answer as best I can!

I WILL POST THE SETTING SHORTLY AND HOPEFULLY EARLY IN THE DAY! SO THINK AND WRITE DOWN YOUR CHARACTER, POST IT IF YOU WANT, BUT REMEMBER TO ADJUST IT AFTER YOU READ THE CONTEXT AND THE SETTING! FROM WHAT I CAN TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, IT'S HAPPENING IN MODERN DAY, FICTIONAL LAND I'LL SPECIFY LATER. IF YOU NEED, MAKE REMOTE NAMES FOR YOUR BACKSTORIES AND I'LL INCLUDE THEM IN THE MAP. YES, I'M CREATING THE LAND. ALSO, WHILE THE SETTING IS MODERN DAY, NOTHING STOPS YOU FROM HAVING FUTURISTIC OR PAST AGE STUFF INTEGRALLY TO YOUR PROFILE!!!

Soon as I get a go, when one of your guys tells me he's ready to go and we've all posted our character profiles and I've seen them all... we're going.

Post  "Ready" as a post so I can check you off.

In this picture, you see Jin before his parent's death. In the story, he has the same physical apprearance except he has the physical constitution of Exachus, which is in the second picture

Background
A very long time ago, when men was not much more than animals, people lived in small groups, traveling the world in search of food, shelter and security. The animals were from 3 to 5 times larger and ferocious than those we know today. Hopefully, men were almost animals themselves. The human strength and courage was so great than some could stand a fight against tigers and bears. The greatest humans were watched by the others as leaders of their clans and chiefs of their hunts for food. But one of those was more. He could uproot huge trees, kill the most fearsome animals with his bare hands and scare every living creature with his mighty voice. He was named Exachus. Some said he was a demi-god, or a bastard half-man half-tiger, but it doesn't matter who is right because he died several thousand years ago.
One day he awoke at the sound of pain and fear cries of his clansmen and women. When he got out of his tent he saw his friends all covered in arrows from the bowsmen, which were sitting in trees all around their camp. Everyone of his clan was dead or dying. Surrounded by this army of nearly a hundred bowmen pointing arrows at him, he was enraged, truly mad, ready to pounce at anyone who would come near, menacing him. Then one bowman, clearly brighter than the others shouted at Exachus not to more for his death would be less painful. This was it, his whole rage filled him with unfailing courage and strength. Recieving the hundred arrows, Exachus screamed those hatred words: I WILL NOT DIE FROM YOUR STUPID COWARDNESS. CURSE YOU MEN, FOR I WILL LIVE TO CARRY MY VENGEANCE. The skirmish was, for the least, bloody. Exachus was jumping, striking, killing. Fore several seconds he attacked the bowmen until the very last was not breathing anymore. When his sight became so blurry he could not even see his own hands, he shouted his last words, still filled with unspeakable rage. I WILL NOT DIE, followed with a powerful roar that lasted for almost ten seconds. The few that heard it from afar hoped they would never encounter the beast that let out that roar.
But something unusual happenned. Exachus' body disappeared from the material world, leaving his clothes and the bloodied arrows on the ground. Exachus didn't know what happens when men die, but for sure he knew he wasn't dead.
Exachus kept on travelling in this form for many many centuries around the globe and the civilisations. He kept training and learning from what he could see and hear so that when he would come back, he would be the best, once again.

Jin Karyu is the normal student. Think it and rethink it multiple times and normal is the best term to describe him. Not too tall, not too small, not physically fit to attract women, normal grades, normal activites, just boring normal, like he would say about himself. There's only two things he's proud of: he's playing guitar relatively good and he just got his black belt in kung-fu. Yet, his guitar teacher tells him he misses the spirit of the musician, he needs to put his soul into the music and PLAY... But I AM PLAYING, he would awnser. Yet again, his kung-fu teacher tells him almost the same junk. More fighting spirit son... Even girls he likes and try to ask them out would mark his lack of... something manly... What do I lack sooo bad, he would say, can't I be a good person without this... soul... spirit... manly thing? This thought just makes him go crazy.
One evening, after his kung-fu class, Jin went back home. When he entered the familial house, fear striked him. Death was here... He searched the whole house, calling out their names, trying to awake them, but death had taken them. His whole family was killed by some house robber that must have went crazy when he saw that people were resisting him. Like his father would have done, to protect his family. But Jin wasn't there to help him... they were all dead... and he could have saved them... or die with them. This was maddening. Hate about the murderer, hate about himself, hate about cowardise that drives murderers into using firearms to kills innocent people. Jin was standing among his family members' corpses, tears were slowly sliding down his cheeks and his hands were shaking. Anger and guilt in his mind slowly melt into rage. Rage about the killer. Rage about him. Rage. Just Rage. Then Jin just felt like shouting. He gattered his strength and screamed. The biggest primal scream he could make.
The feeling was incredible. Jin felt like all his fear and anger went away, being replaced by something else. He was feeling as if infinite courage, strength and energy filled him at this moment. He felt some light thoughts gathering in the corner of his mind. Satisfaction. Joy. Accomplishment. He was feeling as another entity fused with him, giving him resolve to continue on living his life.
In the two weeks that followed those events, Jin's body and mind transformed. His strength and kung-fu skills grew beyond human possiblility and the resolve he gained through courage and confidance was unshakable. He now had a new objective in life. Protect innocent people, carry hope and deliver justive through the world.
Jin stopped kung-fu and guitar teachings, changed school and went by himself to live in student residences to continue somewhere else. He told administration that it was because he wanted a change since his parents died, so he could forget more easily. But actually, it was because he didn't want his old class collegues to see the massive changes in his body and fighting skills.

Proficiency: (From null to very high)
-Hand-to-hand combat (very high)
-Ki (energy) (low)
-Tendentic magic (null)
-Elemental magic (null)

Fighting skills:
Jin's tiger's, snake's and dragon's kung-fu fighting style expressed through his great strength and body ki.
For a purpose of proportions: Total damage (or defense) = 75% Physical strength (or resistance) + 25% Ki power.

General techniques:
-Tiger style: Strong, well-placed palm strikes to disable foes.
-Snake style: Based on evasion and quick movement, this style of best use when fighting against multiple foes. Snake's strikes uses fingers and aren't strong but precise and quick.
-Dragon style: This style is based on counter striking. Blocking or taking voluntarly the foe's attacks to be well placed to strike a highly damaging counter attack. (Developped by Jin since his newfound resilience makes him almost oblivious to normal kung-fu users attacks)

Techniques (some of the basic ones):
-Stunning palm (Tiger): Straight palm strike in the abdomen that makes the target lose his strength for around 4-5 seconds, depending on the target.
-Sweep kick (Tiger): Spinning kick in the legs aiming to make the target fall on the ground.
-Crashdown (Tiger): Striking hand starts at head's heigth and falls vertically on a laid down target.
-Wind push (Tiger)(Advanced): Fast strait palm strike hitting target standing withing one meter.
-Fangs strike (Snake): Precise  fingertip strike which penetrates muscles to hit inner organs.
-Swift deflection (Snake): Half the movement is the hand pushing the attack away from the body and half the movement is the body movind away from the point of impact.
-Spring jump (Snake):   Immediate jump made without running start, in any direction. Another Snake style technique can be prepared during the jump.
-Snake's bite (Snake)(Advanced): Can be performed after Fangs strike. After the strike, fingers remain on the target, and a fast and strong push of the arm is made to make the fingers enter the flesh and rip out the target's organs.
-Block and break (Dragon): Block the foe's attack with arms or legs and strike at the member or object used by foe to make the attack.
-Predict and counter (Dragon): Move closer the foe to minimise its attack effect, then make a twin punch strike using body mass transfer while the foe is unable to block.
-Close quarter crush (Dragon): When the foe moves closer, move closer to him. After running into the foe, perform two hooks punches (From left and right towards front) to crush the foe in front of you.

Personality:
-Confident, gentle, comprehensive, intelligent.
-Sometimes he puts too much heart in too complex things.
-Always watches his environment carefully, whatever he's doing, he always has one eye on what's happening around.
-Not really curious about small things, but really interested in big problems and all that.
-Likes to help people. Actually he feels he must help people to keep his honor intact.
-Kind of peaceful person most of the time.
-Usually serious, he only tells jokes to people he considers his friends.

Fighting map:
Jin always tries to make an even fight. When the foe is too strong, Jin will always try his best till the very end, and when the foe is too weak, Jin will try to show him his supremacy to make him understand that the fight is over instead of hurting the foe for nothing.

Pros:
-Close quarter combat.
-Perceverance and courage through adversity.
-Massive strength. (approx. 5 times normal men's maximum potential.)
-Massive resilience. (approx. 5 times normal men's maximum potential.)
-Ki control.

-Fighting to protect others gives him more strength and endurance.

Cons:
-Since he never had experiences with girls, he gets nevrvous and shy around them. But since he's become more confident, well built and handsome after his parent's death, girls are starting to get interest in him. Seeing that, Jin gives extra effort when girls are around, trying to impress them. But since he's nervous and shy, he often screws up.
-Ranged combat, he has no ability to fight if he can't move close to his target.
-Jin's incapable of fighting against innocent or controlled people.
-Jin will never  run away while his friends are fighting.
-Jin cannot resist bringing justice on people doing wrong things to innocents.
-Jin will never attack a foe from the back, he'll always call a duel, even if the foe would attack Jin from the back if he had the chance.

-------SETTING-------

Hey everyone, it's me again! I'll take a quick time to thank Jin into posting a profile. That was fast and ON SCHEDULE Cheesy

This time I'm here to fill all of you into the setting of the story that we're writing. All of you possibly need to observe this in order to make your backstory complete and stable. Here goes.

-------STORY CONTEXT-------

Twenty-one years ago, in the land of Hinato when everything seemed perfectly normal, conflicts arising in great quantity surrounding six very powerful individuals shook the earth. Along with their own, earth-shaking force and battles, around that time, one of the young Heroes, calling himself Xion, Last of the Shadow Knights, declared to the world that he was going to take into his own being all of the darkness in the heart of the whole humankind, sacrificing himself to save anyone from living sadness like his past claimed to have endured. To do so, he had claimed the energy of eight orbs of shadow, hoping to acquire enough power to carry the task and succeed. The power was unfortunately, while powerful enough, inefficient and corruptive: the young Hero was lost in the immense darkness of his own heart and opened a gate for the DaemonSpawn, creatures that thrive on pain, suffering, death and sadness rather than our known needs and residing in a seemingly parallel universe of our own, on Earth, which immediately took the opportunity to attempt to settle in and rampage the world. In this, the same youg Hero that caused it all was changed into a manifestation of the combination of the darkness residing in himself and the energy of the DaemonSpawn, which called itself Ibixion, a creature of shadows, hybrid in shape to a huge great cat and a man, who took command of a large portion of the DaemonSpawn and led them further into detroying our universe. The Heroes were fighting back, but there was little to be done. However, it had seemed like Heroes of a prior generation, who had thwarted a calamity that fell from the sky, a great monster who attempted to devour the planet, had anticipated this possibility, having been the ones who seemingly sealed the Orbs from its essence in the first place, and installed a magical mechanism onto the discovery of their hidden package. Formed as some kind of prophecy, the message was carried to them by an ethereal messenger. The Heroes, informed that only by joining forces with a number greater by one than their own (the same as the ancient Heroes, which was said to be insufficient to succeed in banishing the DaemonSpawn), went forth and brought battle to Ibixion. Upon defeating him, they purged his heart of darkness with their own's life force and brought Xion back from the ashes. Their numbers assembled, they received the powers of a technique created by the same one who created the Orbs, and were able to wage war, along with the help of us, mankind, and together, they banished the DaemonSpawn back to their dimension. While that was accomplished, the DaemonSpawn Gate, being a powerful entity in itself, could not be destroyed. So together, they reduced it and sealed it spiritually and magically, and sent it to be hidden in the confines of a deep hiding place. With this done, the Heroes split apart from the rest of the world, after their respective business was done, claiming to have caused enough. By their own will, they vanished, and to this day, they were never seen again.

This arc, twenty-one years ago, was chronicled the Great Conflict.

------- IN-WORLD SETTING-------

The Vast Struggle takes place twenty-one years after the events of the Great Conflict. The world is a parallel representation of Earth, which supports the same moon and solar system. The planet supports 7 Lands (the so called names of our Continents), which all have an average of 3 or 4 regions each. The world had an eight Land beforehand, to the West, but it was destroyed in the events of the Great Conflict. The seven present lands are:

- Somol, the Arctic equivalent, to the North
- Meskit, the Land of Sands, to the West, arid and strict.
- Asuri, the Land of Plains, Valleys and Mountains, to the southwest.
- Temebia, the MainLand
- Otor, the Island of Shores, nestled between Meskit, Asuri and Temebia.
-Hinato, the Eastern Land of Shrines, to the northeast.
- and Nobilia, Far Eastern Land and Archipels of Peace

As of this moment, you are all, at least temporarily, Asurians, as the story begins in the Land of Asuri. You are, in fact, in the region of Rozan, to its northwest, north to that one of Mottocome, which houses a huge amount of forests sprayed with small cities and villages, and west to that one of Galieri.

Rozan is known for its great plains and for housing a great mountain, Domir, that contains many traditions and folklore.

Close to the base of Mt. Domir is the large city of Saka. That is where the High Collegial Institute of Saka is situated, which is convenient because that is the school that houses classroom 4056 at the moment where we'll start writing. Smiley That classroom is third year into college, the last one, and sports people from an average of 20 years old, usually ranging to the 21 and rarer 22 for latees.

Just so we're clear, and I don't get some silly inventions at the last minute: there is a magic system already, don't invent one.

Fire Air Water and Earth. Dark and Light.
Fire is opposite to Water, and vice versa. Air to Earth, and Darkness to Light.
Holy and Unholy are only tendencies and are more theoretical than practical. Light can be used for Evil and Darkness for Good.
Lightning is considered as Light magic, not Air. Therefore an air magic cannot cancel out or absorb lightning. Ice is Water and Air.

If there is something that is unsure or unclear, post here, and I will enlighten you.

If your story requires something geographical or topographical that I have not described, fill me in and I'll give you exactly what you need as soon as I can. I'll be making a world map soon enough, as well.

Before I start anything, I have precisions to give out.

I gave all of you a theory that all the individuals would be living their own lives and have their own goals. That is all still true. However, those goals, if left freely like that, are going to lead to the same thing as previous attempts. Which means grinding to a halt.

For this reason I have created and modeled my character to bring in an actual, solid, main storyline. Most of you are aware of this already, but I'll write this here in case. This gives the main storyline a chance for completion. The character I created is made to carry the story, but not designed to be the main character of this story. He will be if need be, for he can, but he was created to be a representation and a challenge of the consequence of his interactions. Basically, he'll be there and he'll do his job. That will carry the story, and he'll do his thing if no one does.

He was crafted to be a rounded character, possibly very powerful, which would encourage and force the creation and breaking of alliances, partly because I am sick of 1v1 fights happening all the time.

1v1 fight are AWESOME. Just not if it's the ONLY type of battle you see.

If any one of you has ever seen or played Final Fantasy X, you'll clearly remember Seymour (Friggin Lance of Atrophy Bastard >.<). Power wise, in some situations, you can compare the character being prepared as that. What this means is that in some situations, facing him alone will be the equivalent of facing Seymour with only one party member on your side. For people that don't get it, it means that, under certain situations, that character will be massively powerful and make regret facing him alone (if you do.). Bitterly. That is made to encourage teamwork and NOT to discourage conflict. Still, if you have confidence, come right at him. This is roleplay. There's no such thing as "I don't think I have the level to fight that boss yet." Drop the strategy guide and play your role.

Important to note, before you roll your eyes; when I say "in certain situation," it means that other situations might actually guarantee an easy 1v1 win against the same character. The occurrences are either random of well distributed. Either way, as unbiased as possible.

Therefore, the character will support and reflect your actions in its own facet. If you have any questions or comments, I'll respond to that as well, but I've spoken to many and understood (and verified with them) that it was necessary and a good idea for us to get anywhere.

Also, if you're making a character that is VERY neutral... try to make something that carries impact and that somehow has the power to carry a story. Comical relief and intrigue are good. If all you do, however, is tip scales and add in elements that don't distribute great adversity and battles, it's going to be quite ambiguous and stalling. Try to avoid it. In any case, I'll let you know if I see one.

I think that's all for now. Please contact me asap if there's anything you would like to know. I'll answer asap!

Thank you!

EDIT:
Someone reminded me to make some precisions on something so that there's no confusion, so here:

-About the showdown with Ibixion and the overall final disaster: The Great Conflict's battle between the Heroes and the DaemonSpawn lasted for approximately 13 days. During that period, while the Gate appeared in Hinato, the creatures quickly poured out and assaulted neighboring Lands. In those times, the entire areas were swarming with the creatures and actually destroying villages, killing and enjoying it. Ibixion took charge of and led masses of DaemonSpawn only through major cities, large cities and metropolises. He never camped or stopped by forests. He was constantly in superior number and was immensely powerful, so he had no reason to hide. From anything. (Well he did but he clearly didn't understand it in time since he whooped the Heroes' asses the first time they faced him. >.>).
For information purposes, they defeated Ibixion on the 11th day and retreated with Xion's purged body, he recovered for the 12th dawn in order for them to receive the technique, and throughout the day until the 13th evening, the battle was fought fiercely and was aided by human distractions and military efforts (a LOT of sacrifice and death, but it gave the Heroes time.) Those last days were Hell on earth; cruelty, pain, madness, sadness and death everywhere, almost nowhere to hide across the whole Land and most of the neighboring lands. They had effectively reached Asuri, Nobilia and the outskirts of Meskit by the time they were banished. Remember that the final battle between him and the Heroes happened in a burning metropolis on an evening. Metropolis was in Yreki (ee-reh-kih), close to the border to Onbiouji and was called Tsumage. Yreki is the center-top region of Hinato, on top of Onbiouji and to the southwest of Fotizaki.

- The elements for magic have each their own thing, of course. But now some UT (and no, I mean Universe Theory, not Unreal Tournament.):

- Magic, in general, is widely disbelieved and still serves as entertainment tricks for audiences in cheap ways, in the Clash universe. As a result, even something as small as someone making a spark at the tip of a finger makes people raise an eyebrow or jump in awe. The only reason the DaemonSpawn didn't raise so much ruckus on supernatural aspects is because scientists "admitted" publicly that it could very well be a species of animals that they never discovered that suddenly waged war on us or a "banal" alien invasion.
- Most people that saw the six Heroes fight them off with their abilities are mostly convinced they were seeing things or treated like delusional individuals by their peers. No one, initially, believes in true magic like were used by the Heroes. Rare are those that do and are comfortable with them. Usually secret orders or isolated individuals.

- Magic has three separate categories in the world of those that are accustomed to them: Elemental and (watch out for new word (and no it doesn't exist in the dictionary) Tendentic Magic.
- Elemental covers the bases; Fire, Earth, Water and Air. The third magic type is found in the elementary base and core; Energy. At the very center of the Elemental Wheel is where the Energy rests.

- Once an individual possesses an affinity for even one element, his chances of containing Pure magic are reduced to zero, an exchange with a price and a payload; elemental magics usually contain great potential in flexibility but also have great weaknesses, where Energy has enormous strength potential but no flexibility. Energy is what is most often used in technology that generate forcefields or other relatable objects.

- Energy, depending on its density and stability, differs in results.
- Energy is also found, sometimes, in focused individuals, such as martial artists. However, The stronger an individual is physically, the weaker his outlet for energy projection. In such contexts, humanity called such representation of energy "ki". Telekinesis is a psychic power and therefore rests in an entirely different branch.

- Tendentic magic covers the Dark and Light magic.

- Through some processes, it is possible to merge elemental and tendentic magic, creating a new, fourth type of magic; Axis Magic. This, when discovered, granted a completely new and huge range of possibilities for magic users (and this is only known by adepts of magic of mastery levels, high experience magic users. Most users that are on their own and that don't actively research magic (i.e. scholars) tumble upon them by accident, and it is sometimes years before they accomplish it again... sometimes again by accident. However, results can range from Dark Fireballs (Fire+Dark), to Healing Water (Water+Light), sometimes ranging in the extremes of such as forestry creation (Earth+Light). Most people that can achieve Axis Magic, however, are veterans, highly magic-concentrated users, not individuals that happen to know a few powerful spells.

- It is impossible to possess an affinity for two opposite elements or tendentics. Also, Energy cannot be merged to obtain Axis Magic.

First Name: Zeiven
Last Name: Panzerfaust
Age: Unknown
Occupation (Everyday Life/Fighting Class): Library Busboy/Magneticist

The image is a reference for appearance only, Zeiven is not a smoker.
His eyes happen to be yellow, for those who can't see it.

Backstory:
As far as he himself is aware, Zeiven's began 5 years ago. The earliest thing he can remember is waking in a field near a smoldering truck. He had nothing on him, not even clothes, and with the only memory being his first name. There were minor scratches decorating his skin, but he was otherwise unscathed. Walking around he found the half incinerated corpse of two people near some unusual-looking wreckage that was slowly oozing melted plastic. As he continued his search he stumbled upon the driver, dead due to severe blunt force trauma to his head. Realizing that his nudity was unusual considering the fabric draped around the corpse, he looted the driver for his pants and shirt. Suitably suited up, he began following a nagging desire to travel southward. Stopping only briefly to rest and eat, Zeiven continued his journey southward. After leaving and rejoining a paved road, he came upon a road sign stating that he was nearing Yver. Indifferent, he continued towards the city on foot.

Arriving in the city, he found himself ever more lost than before. The nagging feeling had disappeared, replaced by a sudden feeling of aimlessness. His precise march turned to wandering and for days he walked the alleys of the great city. It was then that he discovered he could do something downright unusual. A street-walker came up near him with a cellphone in hand. She paced around, talking without a clear end until she sat down beside him. Suddenly, there was only static coming out of the receiver.

Believing that he had interrupted her conversation purposefully, she pulled a knife to attack him. Reflexively, he raised one of his arm to defend himself. In an instant, the knife was wrenched from her grip and shot backwards into the wall, embedding itself into the brick. As she ran away, he puzzled over this discovery. He stayed on that street for hours until he finally became satisfied with how much he had played with this new ability. By this time, a crowd of homeless folk had gathered to watch him. They saw him as some sort of demi-god, he saw them as ways to learn how to live. Therefore, he stayed with them a while.
Living with this group of people, he followed the homeless man's way of life. He spent most of his time at the shelter, actively helping to feed the others. Soon enough, the crew of the shelter gave him an actual job feeding the others with the hope that he might work his way out of poverty. He was well-liked for his quiet demeanour and hardworking attitude. When he wasn't serving food, he would sit around with the staff and the drifters and talk about all sorts of things.

He learned many things from the multitalented street folk. He specifically picked up how to play the violin from a troupe of travelling musicians. He spent long hours practising many styles in a search for perfection, surpassing his teachers in little time. Many expected him to use this musical talent as leverage to leave the homeless life behind.

After a a half year, however, he felt he had reached the limit of what he could learn from the people around him. However, he still couldn't remember anything beyond that wreckage. Therefore, he took the money he had earned and decided to travel in the search of answers.

He began a journey to explore the remainder of the Temebia in search of his past. With a cheap map and a highlighter in hand, he turned the affair into a systematic game. Using his own feet as his only transport, he spent the better part of a few years crossing out portions of geography from his map. He continued this pattern until he came to the Asuri border. He had heard of these from other vagrants and knew that he would require identification papers of some sort. He backtracked to the city of Lavius, the nearest one.

Having no experience with the actual authorities of the country, he fell back on his old colleagues the vagrants. After speaking with many of them, he found his way to an underground organization that could get him the papers he needed. However, they asked a favour of him: they needed someone dead. Without any further thought, he chased down this man, isolated him, and brought him back. The organization leader was amused and asked that he be executed on the spot. Complying instantly, Zeiven sheathed his fist in steel and crushed the man's skull. The leader was highly amused, if a little afraid. True to his word, he brought Zeiven his papers. When he noticed that he had the last name Panzerfaust and was 22 years old, he asked for the reasoning behind both choices. The boss simply answered, “The name just seemed to fit. As for the age, it seems about right from my perspective.”

With papers in hand, he continued his journey into Asuri. He started with the south and sweeped his way up. Eventually, he came to the city of Saka. He noticed at this point that money was beginning to run low and that getting to a new bit of geography would require a lot more effort and funding that before. He tried to find a job like the one he had long ago. Thanks to his diligence, he eventually found a job at the library of the High Collegial Institute of Saka. It has been about a year since he was hired.

Proficiencies:
-Magnetic control (High)
-Hand to Hand Combat (Med)
-Light Magic (Med)
-Projectile Weapons (Low)
-Acrobatics (Very Low)
-Swordplay (Very Low)
-Elemental Magic (Null)
-Ki (Null)

Fighting Style: Zeiven fights best in mid-to-close range, excelling within a 45 foot radius where he has finer control of his abilities. He controls metal by creating and modifying ambient and induced magnetic fields, using an innate geometric sense of calculation to direct these fields so as to manoeuvre metal as he sees fit. He uses the environment to attack from the best angle possible so that he can entrap his opponent. If forced into close-quarters combat, he will attempt to knock the opponent back to continue his ranged assault.

Some Techniques Examples:

Ranged Techniques:
“Wald von Dornen”: Using metallic objects either already below the floor or placed there,  Zeiven creates a field of stalagmite-like protrusions around and/or below his target.
“Hagelschauer”: Zeiven sends a cloud of small fragments of metal (aprox. Twice the size of a 2 dollars coin) towards his target with the goal of blinding them and/or causing minor wounds.
“Temple of Doom”: Zeiven gathers a large mass of metal into a big sphere and sends it barrelling towards his target. Straightforward and powerful, if a little lacking in subtlety and requiring enough metal to perform.
“Volkspistole”: Softball-sized chunks of metal are thrown at the target, sometimes from unusual angles.

Hand-to-Hand Techniques:
“Panzer Knacker”: Using a wide plate of metal as an improvised riot shield, Zeiven knocks back his opponent with a powerful push.
“Panzerfaust” Gathering metal around his fist, Zeiven will punch his target with the idea of doing severe damage and/or knocking them away.

Hybrid Techniques:
“Panzerschreck”: He gathers metal around one of his arms, forming a lance like weapon. He then thrust it towards a target, launching it like a projectile to finish.

Personality:
For reasons unknown even to him, Zeiven has always experienced the world through foggy glasses. Due to this, he has a neutral, if a tad melancholic, view on life. Without being depressed, he rarely becomes excited about anything and typically remains single-mindedly focused on one thing at a time. His thought process is more easily likened to that of a computer than that of your average human being. He works only to complete his objective of unlocking the repressed memories in his mind and considers all outside stimuli either a help or a hindrance.

Fighting Map: Zeiven falls under the category of “precise fighter”. Entering combat he will fight at an arbitrary intensity to gauge the strength of his opponent. Once he has a rough idea of this, he will fight at a level just beyond his opponent's so as to incapacitate them with the least effort.

Pros:

-Very powerful in the right environment
-Single-minded and determined
-Hard to distract by any typical means
-Very high pain threshold and endurance
-Unaffected by any light magic below a certain intensity

Cons:
-Easily influenced or convinced by well-rationalized arguments
-Is partially environmentally dependent for his power
-Exposure to non light-based magical fields causes major side-effects

(Thanks to Zero for outlining her for me!)

Backstory: Dianne and Eugenie Carcani were childhood friends, growing up together in the rural regions of the Mainland. When they were old enough, they moved to the big city, married, and began a floral arrangement business together. After a year, their first child, Albina Carcani, was born. Two years later, their second child, Natalija, came into the world, and finally two years after that Jana completed their family.

From a very young age, Albina was marked with an insatiable curiosity, a need to touch things and work with her hands, and the ability to retain a great deal of information very quickly. By the age of two she had memorized every flower in the shop and had begun arranging them in patterns based on size, color, and petal shape. Her parents quickly realized that she was going to need more than the public school system, and enrolled her in a private academy, using all the money they had, when she was 5.
Albina excelled. While she had some difficulty getting along with the other children, she wowed the teachers. She began helping the 2nd and 3rd graders with their math homework, and the school bumped her up two grades; by the time she was 6, she was surrounded by 8 and 9 year olds in a 3rd grade class. Unfortunately, her skills in language arts and social studies suffered from the jump, and she was dropped back down a grade.

The major catastrophe o f her life occurred when she was 7 years old. On a class trip to a mountain forest for science class, Albina wandered off from the group to explore. Used to a city environment, the dangers of the forest were foreign to her. Spotting a wild deer, she approached it, eyes wide with the wonder of seeing the beast so close. Not used to humans, the animal got spooked and bolted, knocking her tiny body off the ground and down a steep cliff. Her legs broke when she hit the ground, splintering horribly, her femurs cracking in several places while her shins lay shattered beneath her. It took an hour for the teachers to locate the source of the screams, and by the time she reached the hospital, it was too late to save her legs: they were amputated a few inches above the knee.

Almost bankrupt from the combined cost of the school and surgery, her parents were forced to take her out of private school and put her in the public system. After a year of recovery and counseling (she would awake, and still does, in the middle of the night, with the terrible feeling of falling and the echo of the crack that ended her mobility echoing through her ears), she was enrolled in grade 4 at the age of 8. Her high marks in science and math made up for her abysmal language grades, and she graduated to middle school at the age of 10 (when she should have been 12).

Unfortunately, the happy group mentality she’d been so accustomed to in elementary school dissolved when she hit grade 7: now people had ‘cliques’, groups that didn’t have room for a crippled kid like her. The loneliness began to set in. The situation at home didn’t help, either: Natalija and Albina were completely different people, and Jana was just graduating kindergarten, too young to understand her science and social alienation.

But despite this unhappiness, Albina remained upbeat as she discovered the joys of middle school: resources. Now she was equipped with a fully-functioning science lab to play with during recess, a shop class where she could saw and solder to her heart’s content. Her teachers found she had a knack for building things, little robots that tottered around on countertops, small metal balls that opened and closed at a voice command. While her peers played basketball, she built circuit boards.
In the summer before starting highschool, Albina’s parents decided that it was time to have a change of pace from the big city life: Jana was prone to getting sick, and they decided as a family that moving to a mountainous place with fresh air would be a good idea for all of them. So, before she could start her new school, they moved to Rozan in Asuri.

The social isolation only worsened with the transfer, but like before, new possibilities opened up. The teachers tended to love her while the students thought she was a freak, and though she was bullied for her mangled leg stumps, social ineptitude, and genius intelligence, the teachers provided her with love, support, encouragement, and materials. She began to stay after school, working every day on one project or another, giving small devices to her teachers and parents as presents.

This work, however, could not go unnoticed. At a science fair, a scout from Terra Ward was sent to mark out any potential candidates for future hire; there had been rumors going around of a prodigy recently moved from the mainland. Expecting to see a model rocket or childish demonstration of a circuit board, the scout investigated the most crowded panel only to find a two foot tall robot pacing around in a circle on the floor, a monitor embedded in its chest displaying a live feet from the camera on its head. He watched it dance and greet others as its giddy 13 year old owner sat in her wheelchair, giggling in delight at the peoples’ attention.
Within the week, she was brought to Terra Ward and given all the materials she needed, provided she make something spectacular. It took a year, but she built the things that changed her life: Her legs. A pair of lightweight, incredibly durable, springy legs that could be clicked into sockets surgically attached to her stubs. She was finally able to walk for the first time in 7 years.

Here, after school at Terra Ward, she was still not accepted into a group, but she was able to talk to other people about her interests, and she wasn’t bullied anymore. She quit public school and was privately tutored by the scout that had found her, named Raidon Hysar, who quickly became a family friend. The Agency filled her in on some information about their organization, and she fell in love with the idea of providing helpful technology to protect people. She began designing modifications for weapons to make them non-lethal and more effective, shielding devices, and even cool things like rocket packs for her mechanical feet and sonic blasts that could protect her.

As she grew up, so did her body. Her legs forced her into perfect posture, straight backed, and gave her an attractive height. She developed curves to make the cheerleaders jealous, and finally started to be noticed by the boys. Her fair hair and bright brown eyes, extremely pale skin, high cheekbones and slim features made her quite the looker. Disliking the attention this drew, she cut her waist-length hair to her shoulders and dressed in turtlenecks and overalls instead of tank tops and tight jeans. However, the looks continued, and she soon began to find misconceived warmth from people her age: she interpreted their sexual interest as genuine interest in her for who she was, and occasionally lost herself to their whims and desires in order to boost her self esteem.

Terra Ward, eager to add this brilliant young technician to their employee list, paid for her college entrance fee and residence. She also changed her name on the transcript: Tired of being mocked for her foreign name, she adopted the name Abigail Carrington to replace Albina Carcani, giving herself the nickname of Gail. By 19 years old (her current age), she is in 3rd year classes in everything but her languages, which she is behind a year in. Apart from general conversations with teachers, helping other students, her family and Raidon, the only person she’s had any significant interaction with is Mathios. While not friends, the two will occasionally talk to one another about class and exchange the pleasantry waves when passing each other in the hallways.
She enjoys building and fixing things in her spare time, and is always friendly, upbeat and optimistic. She can’t wait to join Terra Ward full time and build things that help people for a living.

Proficiencies: (Very Low to Very High)
A)   Tendentic Magic (Very High)
B)   Marksmanship (Mid)
C)   Acrobatics (High to Low, depending on Light or Gizmo legs)
D)   Elemental Magic (Currently Low/Mid (potential))
E)   Staves (Low)
F)   Hand to Hand Combat (Very Low)
G)   Ki (Null)
H)   Sword Fighting (Null)

Fighting Style: Gale functions as a classic ranged member of a party. She can function with small knives or a switchblade, but anything longer than a foot becomes unwieldy in her hands. However, put her at the back of the party and she becomes a valuable ranged fighter, using magic, a gun, or fusing the two to make magic-enchanted bullets. Finally, she’s a tinkerer and loves building things, so apart from coming up with her own little oddities, bombs, and add-ons, she can be commissioned/persuaded into making additions or gadgets for other people. In close combat situations, she uses an extendable metal baton for defense and minor offence. It is fairly light, extremely sturdy and extends to about 1.6 meters long with a 3cm diameter at its base and a .7cm diameter at its tip. For defensive purposes it serves as a block to defend against swords or other similar weapons. Offensively, it can be used as an extension to deliver somewhat powerful electric shocks. However, if an electric or magnetic attacked is used AGAINST her, or anyone near her, the rod will attract the lightning and inflict amplified damage to her.
Fighting Strengths: Very intelligent, can think of creative ways to approach a situation. Usually has a back-up plan. Can use her environment to her advantage, and often has the initial element of surprise as she doesn’t look capable of very much. Also a fairly good shot. Not easily riled into acting recklessly.
Fighting Weaknesses: Extremely fragile. Can take magic damage (burns, etc) better than physical cuts or fractures, but can’t take much of either. Very poor at hand to hand combat, very weak physically. Lacks the strength necessary to take down a good sized opponent. Lightweight. Some attacks take time to set up. Recovers slowly. Many of her standard magic attacks are unfocused and broad area of effect, and cannot be used all the time due to the threat of friendly fire. Her largest liability is movement: with her Gizmo legs she can use a lot more of her attacks but has much less mobility, and while her Light legs make her incredibly quick, she loses all but her mental abilities.
Note: She cannot heal. The closest she can do is cauterize large wounds and stick a band-aid on.

Some Techniques Examples:
-   Trigger Fusion: The next shot fired from a regular gun attack will be infused with the Lightning element and deliver a strong electric shock wherever it lands. Applies the technique to 6 consecutive shots fired in a 10 second span. Cooldown: About 2 minutes between clips.
-   EMP Bomb: Throw an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) grenade that shorts out all electrical devices, including radio, in a 50 foot radius. Lasts for around 1 minute, longer or shorter depending on the device. Can carry up to 5 at a time, more if held in a backpack. Can be used in succession. Easy to make, but require obscure materials.
-   Crowd Control: Throw a small grenade into an area full of enemies. When it explodes, anything in the immediate area will be splattered with a tar-like substance which is extremely adhesive. Works poorly outside (as dirt isn’t hard to pull free).
-   Blind: Throw a bomb that emits a high-intensity blast of light, temporarily dazing or ‘whiting out’ anyone’s vision who sees it. Burst lasts 5 seconds, effect lasts up to 2 minutes. Limited supply of 2 on her person, but not hard to make.
-   Knockback: Throw a bomb that emits a powerful sonic boom. Anyone within 5 feet of the bomb is thrown 15-20 feet away. Can carry 1 at a time, hard to make.
-   Silence: Set up a small device that blocks any radio emissions, sending or receiving, within a 15 foot radius. Functions indefinitely as long as the device is turned on.
-   Holy Magic – EM Storm: Create an electrical storm designed to overload all electrical systems (both wired and chemical, meaning humans) for a time. Begins with a 1 minute cast time and increases by 45 seconds for each level (1 minute for level 1, 8 minutes 30 seconds cast time for level 10).  Duration depends on the level of energy put into it: EM Storm 1 will shut down computers for 3 minutes and slow down a person’s mobility (think like casting ‘Slow’ on a target) for 2 minutes. Each level doubles the duration, up to level 10 (Half an hour of electrical system downtime, 20 minutes of reduced mobility). Cooldown starts at 4 minutes and doubles with every level (4 minutes for level 1, 40 minutes for level 10)
-   Holy Magic – Sear: Send a powerful electric shock coursing through a person, creating a burn wherever the entry and exit points were made. No Cooldown, but drains energy.
-   Holy Magic – Solder Flesh: Send electric energy through a person for long enough to melt flesh together from heat. Requires target be relatively still and 25+ seconds to cast. No Cooldown, but drains a moderate amount of energy.
-   Holy Magic – Sympathetic Current: Send tiny amounts of electrical energy into a comrade, provoking different reactions depending on the person, their state of mind and condition of their body. IE To a strong willed, excited person in physical form, will cause an adrenaline rush. To a sad person, it may tickle slightly. No Cooldown. Must make physical contact. Recipient must not have a heart condition. Requires no energy, but must be careful not to accidentally hurt.
-   Gizmo - Sonic Blast: Using a small sonic device embedded in her Gizmo leg, emit a sonic blast by pressing a button strong enough to knock a 160lb man down from 10 feet. Effects diminish past that point. Requires: Gizmo legs
-   Gizmo - Sonic Scream: Using a small sonic device embedded in her Gizmo leg, emit a sonic wave that will shatter glass at a 20 foot radius. Can be cranked up to pop human eardrums, but that includes her own and her teammates’ unless wearing appropriate protection. Requires: Gizmo legs.
-   Gizmo - Hover: Float up to 5 feet off the ground using small rocket boosters on the bottoms of her feet. Requires: Gizmo legs. Lasts for up to 10 minutes.
-   Gizmo - Magnetize: Magnetize legs, causing anything magnetic a 6 foot radius to fly to them, including teammate’s weapons and her own. Can also be used to walk on metal beams/walls/ceilings/etc. Requires: Gizmo legs. Lasts for up to 1 hour.
-   Light – Bounce: Spring off the ground, up to a height of 20 feet. Requires: Light legs.
-   Light – Dash: Run extremely quickly. Requires: Light legs.
-   Nanite Injection: Stab a needle containing tiny nano robots into a person that will render them completely paralyzed in 30 seconds. One time use, as they cost approximately $50,000 to make.

(More to be revealed later)

Hand-to-Hand Techniques:
-   GTFO: Run away as fast as possible. +10 to Speed.
-   Flail: Flail wildly in an attempt to bat off an attacker.
-   Flirt: Flaunt sexy body in the hope that the attacker will become distracted.
-   Shock: Send an electric shock through the assailant’s body on physical contact, making whatever part touched go numb for a short while.
-   Defend: Defend using extendable baton to block blade attacks.
-   Lightningrod: Draw electric attacks from other teammates to her baton and her, protecting them from the attack. Hurts her twice as badly. This effect is always active as long as she’s holding the rod.
-   Shockwave Extend: Use the baton to carry electric current to the victim, delivering a somewhat powerful electric shock upon contact. Drains energy, no cooldown.
-   Vault: Launch into the air using the baton as a catalyst. This collapses the baton in the process. Can jump up to 5 feet in the air with a running jump.

Fighting Map: Stay at the back, don’t get hit, and help whoever needs helping. If the battle comes to her, get away as quickly as possible.

Pros: Very open, very friendly, very supportive. A wiz at computers and anything with gears or a circuit board, can fix things on the spot, sometimes without the usual tools. Her imagination and creativity are her greatest tools in the moment, in prep, and afterwards. Can usually stay extremely focused, even if there’s a lot going on around her.

Cons: Physically disabled due to her mechanical legs, either resulting in a loss of speed or power. Would become mentally unstable if something traumatizing happened to her, like a betrayal or the death of someone close to her. Has no close friends, sometimes speaks inappropriately because she’s never been in a similar situation before, and will sometimes resort to selling her mind or body to boost her low self esteem and need for companionship.

Personality: Gale is very cheerful and optimistic. While a little shy (her intelligence has always put her in an older, intimidating crowd), she’s quite friendly if you talk to her. She becomes extremely excited when discussing technology and reclusive and baffled if discussing politics or literature. She likes comic books featuring handsome superheroes and ass-kicking ladies in costume. She is extremely intelligent, but that of course leads to some social alienation and inability to interact with others. An extremely gifted hacker, she hates being disturbed when she’s working and will flail violently at anyone who attempts to stop her. She knows she’s hot stuff but dresses down in blacks to hide it, despite the fact that she loves rainbow colors (as shown by the rainbow socks she wears over her Light legs); she’d rather be recognized for her mind than her attractive frame. Though, she’s not entirely innocent: she’s a bit of kitten if you get her in the right mood. Very loyal, open minded, truthful, and kind hearted to the core.

First Name: Raeyn

Last Name: Nameless (He has no last name, by choice.)

Age: 21

Birthday : July 17th

Occupation: History Major, Student (Applied World History)/Swordsman

Student Schedule (6 Classes) : History of Arts, Lands and Society, World History, Advanced Zeto, Economics, Self-Defense.

Back-story:

Within Raeyn was an energy he never knew existed until his 18th birthday. The ability to use Magic. Magic that had brought about a difference unknown to him until now, to his learning. With the understanding that was brought with that new-found energy, the understanding of how he learned so well, all these years.. he was gleeful.

Brought up into the sword at a young age by his father, training at the age of 5, he learned the defensive sword style taught by his father at the local dojo. His father always said, “To Defend is what this sword’s purpose remains.” And with that, he took the up the sword in hand, and learned. He mastered the sword style at the age of 10, officially being the youngest to learn and master it.

At the age of 12, he left home with his father, to travel the land. And along the way, he learned new styles from new masters of the sword in different regions. It took years, but along the way, his father was ever proud of his son, being able to master so many things his father dreamed of. And so, the day of tragedy struck. His father, while out in town getting food for supper one day, was assaulted by local gang members. His father’s ideals of defending honor and what’s right made him a stubborn man, and there-in, raged the gang members to assault his father and kill him. A while later, while searching the town for his father, he finds the local authorities sectioning off a part of the town. When he approaches the barrier, he asks what is going on, and they say a man has been murdered. Just over the armed guard’s shoulder, Raeyn see’s his father’s face being covered by a sheet. Raeyn pierces out a cry so loud, the guard was not expecting it. The only words out of Raeyn’s mouth for the next few days were “He cant be gone…”

As Raeyn seemed to be in a catatonic state, he thought about perilous thoughts, a never-ending sorrow.. and so, it was on this day, the day of his 18th birthday, where his new master would approach him, from out of nowhere, and give him two pieces of advice. The first, to forget his name, and wander as a ghost, to learn of a new style of sword. The second, to learn of the power hidden within him, that would forever change his life, and to give him a new purpose. Raeyn, unknowing what to do, looked at the new master, and unwillingly, at first, accepted. With this, the master introduced himself as a wandering swordsman, without a name, and with no origin, telling the young Raeyn that he could sense within him, a magical power, that would be of great use to the world. With nothing but the sword left by his father, and the ideals of his Father’s words, he set off, nameless, to understand himself, his master, and the land better. In this time, his master taught him many things that he himself, never even knew existed. He was taught of the war of Old, chronicled as “The Great Conflict” where destruction and evil was rampant for a time. Where his master came from, and what part he played within the war. The reasoning behind his namelessness, where the birth of Magic (the ability within him) came from, and why he was given such a power, and Raeyn’s new purpose in life. His master set out to teach many a new pupil the usefulness of magic, and to hopefully one day use that magic for a greater good, and if at all possible, avoid a future “conflict”. Within the time that his master and him have travelled, he learned many a sword techniques, and the magic within him, and how he may one day, be a key to something greater. He came to understand that the sword, is but a gate for many potential possibilities, and that he was the key to opening that gate. It was here, where they finally arrived in the town called Saka, where his master then said that before he could continue his journey, he needed to understand the world better, and seek his own path from the books. He was then enrolled into the nearby school, and put in for town registry.

-Time Passes-

Raeyn is now an official resident of the town called Saka, and enrolled in the nearby college, the “High Collegial Institute of Saka”, a third year. He was skipped ahead a year after passing all his classes and learning the material ahead of class, and demonstrating exemplary learning abilities, the first time in a many long years of the schools founding.  The school itself is found on the land of Asuri, in the Rozan region. It is here, that Raeyn decided to pick up History, as per his master’s words, to understand the land, its power, and the history behind its wars, and maybe, in that time, learn of new sword styles that he could possibly seek out and learn as well. It is under his master’s insistence that he attend school and learn of the importance of the land, and the history behind it. And so, he goes.

Proficiencies:
A) Hand to Hand Combat (Mid, Enchantable with Magic)
B) Sword-fighting (High, Enchanting Magic applied.)
C) Elemental Magic (High; Water/Air (Access to Ice))

Fighting Style:

Hand-to-Hand Techniques:
- Spin Punch (Counter-based attack) :
Relies on the opponent mainly being a hand-to-hand combatant. Enchantable with Magic if need be for added effects (freeze, push with air.)
- Ice Shield :
Makes a full Tower Shield sized shield in front of Raeyn, defending him from an oncoming attack. Only defends the initial attack.
- Ice Material Magic
This technique is made to substitute ice weapons for his real weapons when he has none available. Limited duration and use.

Long Ranged Combat :
- Ice Magic :
- Ice Spikes : Creates a series of flying spikes towards a far-distant target. More of a drawing technique, meant to make enemies reveal themselves or force them to move from a stationary position.
- Ice Cannon : Creates a cannon-effect from his hands, projecting cannon-ball sized ice, to shoot at his opponents.
- Air Magic :
- Gale Winds :
Manipulates the wind current to increase wind speeds, pushing, pulling and/or forcing the enemy to find cover. Cannot forcefully knock over a standing person unless they are completely average (no magic/energy/anything.) but can make them trip if in the air (adjust the way they land so they trip.)
- Water Magic :
- Geyser :
This skill creates a mini geyser from the ground with the water within the air or inside the earth. Highly inaccurate due to its projection towards the air (Condensed projection). Usable in conjunction with other skills.

Kenjutsu (Blade Techniques):
- Kenjutsu : 1000 Swords :
This skill calls upon an old style, passed on from his master, as the successor to his master’s dojo. This skill creates the illusion of 100 Ice swords flying around (Think Byakuya's Bankai from Bleach without the barrier), while attacking with one sword at a time. A finishing move. Usable only while in the Frozen Driver state, after that, must rest properly over time before use again. (Though the name says 1000 swords, Raeyn is not strong enough yet to truly summon 1000 ice swords.)
- Kenjutsu : Overdrive :
This sword skill basically sends the user into a mini-frenzy, by increasing oxygen flow via his air magic to his muscles, lungs, and generally, the rest of his body, making him feel less exhausted therefore, Increasing his movement reactions (dodging/etc), and enhanced strength (2x Raeyn's normal). Taxing ability, causes extreme weakness after use. (basically, he cant really.. move.. much, if not, at all. <.<)
- Kenjutsu : Frozen Driver :
This sword skill brings magic fusion into effect. Raeyn uses the magic of Water and Air to form Ice, and cover his arms, legs, and sword. He develops Iced Gauntlets, Greaves, and the sword’s hilt is covered by Ice. He can then create ice-like objects to ride upon (i.e : A small road to slide on and move quickly), shoot at/with (spikes without having to really cast them, for example), and attack with (added ice magic to regular slashes, that sort of thing.). Ice Magic is enhanced, Timed duration of 10 minutes. At the end of the 10 minutes, he returns to normal, unable to use Magic for a time. No weakness, no ill-effects.
- Kenjutsu : Glacial Parade :
This sword skill creates an Ice wave that flows along the ground, from his sword or feet.  Moves quickly, moving faster then the average man can run. Max distance 50m, meant more as a set-up skill. (Parade->Prison/Explosion for an example)
- Kenjutsu : Glacial Prison : Conjunction Skill :
Using this skill after Glacial Parade creates a small, Cell-like Prison that captures the opponent inside. Unbreakable from the inside, but very breakable from the outside. Player inside Prison can be saved by another teammate coming and smashing the exterior of the prison.
- Kenjutsu : Explosion : Conjunction Skill
This skill can also be used after either Prison or Parade, to cause the air in the ice to move at intense speeds, upping current inside the ice massively, destabilizing and causing the ice to explode and shatter into millions of shards, in every direction. Very hard to miss.

Personality:  Raeyn is a reclusive kind of guy, kept to himself, (more or less due to his shyness) but can be quite the outstanding leader if necessary. Mastering the way of the sword, he has learned 10 swordstyles, and arranged them into a varying type of fighting style. Raeyn is the kind of guy who is very reliable in a fight, or even for general knowledge. He enjoys laying back and taking it easy, training on his sword skills, and reading up on old history and sword fighting styles. He wishes to one day, be a master at many various sword techniques and styles (though he is well underway at 10.)

Fighting Map: Raeyn has three approaches to a battle.
Fight vs. Long Ranged : Draw them in, limit the amount of distance the target and himself can have between them, drawing them into the range of his sword. The task is not easy, but it can be done.
Fight vs. Hand-2-Hand : Mix up defensive styles and offensive magic to counter and strike back at the enemy, keeping the distance between them very low, and keeping the enemy at bay.
Fight vs. Another Swordsman : Mix all styles of the sword, defensively at first to understand his enemy, and then attack or counter accordingly. Adjust and add magic in as needed, or as necessary.

Pros:
- Very calm, cool, gathered.
- Able to take a position of leadership if no leader is found/around.
- Reliable, always helpful.
- Punctual, knowledgeful.
Cons:
- Shy, normally, unless leadership for a problem is needed, making it hard to approach at first.
- Limits the use on his magical abilities, he tries not to rely on them too much.
- Dislikes too much responsibility

First Name: Ookami (code name: HOWL)
Last Name: Ginyasha
Age: 20
Height: 5’10
Weight: 135 lbs
Home: Terra Ward Agency, City of Yver
Occupation (Everyday Life/Fighting Class):
Student, Arts Major, General Arts/Melee Fighter, Marksman

Backstory:

“Who am I, you ask? Hehehe, well,  I’m not even sure myself to be honest….My
past was one that was considered questionable by some. I was called many things;
demon child, monster, a curse upon society. I didn’t know what it meant at first, and
my mother wouldn’t tell me either. She would say that they didn’t….understand. ”

“I remember, when I was only 9 years old, that’s when my whole life changed.
If it wasn’t for my stupidity and curiosity, maybe things would have been different.”

-Flashback-

“I wanted to know, who or WHAT I was…”

“I lived in a small village cut off from the current society. It was very rural. Not
much technology was present either. It was hidden very well…or so we thought. Vast
forests stretched for many miles, surrounding our village. It was, pretty much, left on
its own. That being said…”

“Only a certain few knew of this mass invasion that had occurred when I was
still in my mother’s womb. She would refrain from telling me what happened then, but
I had a feeling that my abnormalities were somehow connected. I was hoping to go
visit our village elder so he could tell me the story. Late at night, I snuck out of my
home, while my mother was asleep. I didn’t want to get spotted by any of the adults so
I snuck through the alleys. I didn’t know what to expect. I was attacked by some other
kids, older than myself, about the age of 12. They kept saying:”

“Freak! We don’t want you coming to our school anymore! And we don’t want you
talking to our friends! Get out you piece of crap!”

“One punched me right in the solar plexus, and I lost my breath. Then, for some
reason,  I blanked out and I couldn’t remember what had happened. All I can tell you is
that I woke up, still at night, with them lying on the ground, their faces and bodies
completely mutilated, and their blood on my hands. I was scared, so I ran deep into the
woods that surrounded our village. I had heard these woods stretched for miles so that
no one can find us. By us I meant our village, cut off from current society. I ran without
stopping, eventually ending up at a small river stream, and I washed my blood soaked
hands. I couldn’t go back now….”

“I had woken up in the morning, realizing I had cried myself to sleep. I kept
thinking, Where would I go? How will I survive? I was desperate and hungry. I looked
in the river stream next to me and looked at my own reflection. I knew I was different.
None of the other boys and girls in the Village had eyes like mine, and sometimes I can see things from very far away that they couldn’t. I was also able to smell things they couldn’t. It was an uncomfortable smell too, one of worry and…fear. Sometimes, It made me wonder if I was crazy.
And then there were my teeth… “

“I lost my chain of thought when I heard a cracking sound in the woods. I went
to hide in the nearby bushes quickly. I was afraid it might be one of the villagers
looking for me. When I snuck a peek to see what it was, a saw a pair of wolves, a
mother and her cub, drinking at the river stream. Turns out the cracking noise was due
to them stepping on a few dry branches. This gave me a bit of encouragement seeing as
I could use some this dry wood to make a fire. I was young, so I was intrigued by the
wolves, and I decided to follow them for a bit. I wanted to know how they lived, how
they survived. As I followed them,  they would look back, and stare at me occasionally. I
was scared they might attack, but they never did. I guess they didn’t see me as a
possible threat to them. I watched them hunt their prey. Whatever part of their prey
they left behind, I took for myself to cook and eat.”

“2 weeks passed since I began to live in these woods. I learned to hunt for my as
well. How, you ask? Well, let's just say those unique traits I have come to an advantage
as well. One day, while stalking my prey, a man appeared behind me.  I guess I was so
focused on hunting for food that I hadn’t noticed him until he spoke.”

“ Looks like you learned quite a few things from observing those wolves, boy”.

“I stood my ground and remained vigilant in case he tried anything; I was
afraid he return would try and return me to the village. But he didn’t look like he came
from it either. He dressed very differently from the villagers, cleaner I would say. He
was fairly tall, about 5’11 I’d say. His hair was blond and slicked back. He
looked to be in his early 30’s age wise. I wondered what someone like him was doing in
these woods.”

“Don’t worry, I won't hurt you. I just came to ask you a question.”

“He looked at me with a confident smile. What could he possibly want with ME?
Little did I know, he would become part of my new home.”

“What if I told you that I know what you are. Would you trust me then?”

“I couldn’t believe it at first, but I was so intrigued in wanting to know.”

“Almost ten years ago, an outbreak had occurred on this, our planet Earth.
The DaemonSpawn had broken through and they wrecked havoc on our planet.
Horrible creatures they were, they came in many shapes and sizes, their fangs and
claws were razor sharp, and their eyes struck terror in our hearts.”

"Now I was curious to see those for myself. I seemed to have some similarities to
them. Am I…one of them?"

“6 individuals had fought off the threat and sealed them away. They fought
hard and gallantly, risking their own lives to fend them off. It was a Great Conflict
indeed. Later, an organization, Terra Ward, had been formed by many individuals
sharing a common goal, myself included. This was to prevent any such threats from
reappearing. Little did we know, part of that organization had turned on itself, and a
lot of our inventions and advanced technologies where stolen from us. We also
suffered the loss of our head researcher, and his family as well. They were reported
to be dead soon after the rebellion; a great loss it was. I had to take charge in the
reconstruction of the organization and became the new head official. As you can see,
demons and paranormal creatures aren’t the only things we must defend our
species from. Humans, themselves are equally to blame for such destruction.”

“He placed his hand upon the large tree next to him, admiring it.”

“Forests, much like these, get torn down for expansion and creation of
weapon industries and ammunition factories in the like. This will only create more
wars, more destruction.“

“He pulled out, from his pocket, a small device that displayed some images of strange
looking humans, wearing uniform and wielding firearms. “

” Your village is also in danger of such threats, as you can see from these images.”

“ From the looks of it, they tried negotiating with my village, although the elder
seemed to refuse. I wondered what they can be arguing about.”

“Our problem now, at the moment, is that we lack members to help fight off
these threats, and defend mother earth for the survival of the people…. I have a
daughter, just about your age, and I plan to make this world safe for her.”

“He looked at me with very serious, yet pleading eyes.”

“You may still be young, but your talents can become an ultimate asset to us
when you are older. My question to you is: will you join us?”

“ I was so dazzled by his story that I couldn’t stop staring at him. He held out
his hand. I thought long and hard about this. Suddenly, a loud sound came from the
direction of the village, almost like an explosion of some sort. My instincts reacted
before my mind did, and I sprinted towards the village.”

“WAIT! It’s not safe down there! Gah! Dammit! Why do they always run away?!”

“The Man chased after me but I had eventually lost him. I had to know what was going
   on.”

“What I looked upon was a blazing inferno, a catastrophe.
I couldn’t believe it…. The entire village was completely annihilated. I
ran to where my old home used to be, and I found my mother laying on the ground. She
barely had any breath left in her body, but I will never forgot the last words she spoke
to me.”

“….You’re….still alive….I am glad cough. They came about….a week ago and
…..they wouldn’t leave until we agreed to leave our village. cough The….Elder…he
refused for us, but …..they still came back. They wanted our land for their own
expansion.”

“I tried tending to her wounds, but nothing was working.”

“No, I can't be saved, and I accept death. I want to tell you why you are….what
you are…9 years ago, while you were still inside me…a cough invasion occurred.
They were….diabolic…creatures. Some of the villagers, including….your father, tried
to…fend them off,… but nothing was working… and your father…was…killed . I was
injured by one of them, but it was wounded as well, and some of its blood had
entered my wound. Before it dealt the final blow, it….suddenly vanished, along with
the others. I ….don’t….know why…but I guess it can somehow explain your…
uniqueness. That creature’s blood had made you what you are, but you can use
that….power for cough ….something….great. Promise me…to use your talents to
help this world. I’ve finally told you…what you have wanted to know for so long…I
can now….rest.”

“I was shocked by these words, and I looked upon her now lifeless body. I
couldn’t move, I was paralyzed in fear, sorrow, anger and hatred. I felt a hand placed
on my shoulders as I fell to my knees, and began to cry.”

“This is what I meant when I said that some humans would also be a threat to
this world. Your village elder wouldn’t come to their demands, so they used means
that would guarantee their target, destruction.”

“Mother I will do what you ask. This man who stands next to me shares your
will. I will go with him, and I will protect this world and those the live in it...”

“For once,…I spoke.”

“I will join you, ….but under one condition…”

6 years later…

“About 6 years after this had happened, I was still going through physical
training for combat and acrobatics training, to hone my skills at the organization. I
took advantage of the abilities granted to me. I fought while being blindfolded. My
condition was to have them hidden from others sight, so they wouldn’t be afraid of me.
I got to live a normal life as well. I went through schooling, just like the other
children, although, I was a special case due to my “blindness” and that I was “Mute”.
Often I was helped by some of the teachers and wet not just to go through my
education. They had to often help me place my pencil, in my hand, at the beginning of
the sheet of paper if I were ever to write something, and would be surprised afterwards
when my writing would go so smoothly.“

“ I was registered under the name Ookami Ginyasha. I attended the public
schools with the head official’s daughter, Aya Mikado. She helped me and guided me
around. She was the only friend I had at the moment. I never said a word to her once
though. Even if she hasn’t seen for herself my eyes or fangs, she knew I was different
from the others.”

“I never learnt the Head official’s name; the others only called him by his last
name, Mikado. He helped me train myself and learn to sharpen my unique skills. I had
to fight blindfolded to hide my eyes.
I never learnt a particular fighting style; I just learnt the basics of combat
and used the means necessary to apprehend my opponents, often using my acrobatics
and my abnormal strength and speed. I also practiced attacking my opponent’s weak
point, a trick I picked up while observing the wolves while they hunted (going for the
neck), when I was young in those woods. I was trained at using various fire arms, as well. Some would wonder how I can even aim with those blindfolds on. I was known to be an ace gunman, prodigy at the agency when it came to firing a pistol. Yeah, I know what you're thinking...an agency that defends humanity against the human race using fire arms as a weapon source. It seems ironic at first, but Mikado once told me himself that a gun is as much a threat as the one who wields it. As long as I wield it to protect, then my acts are just. ”

“My 16th birthday came along, and I was gifted with what would become my
greatest ally in the end, my weapon.

The head official came up to me.”

“I can see from your training that you’ve improved much.
You are now much older, and capable of overcoming opposing possible threats.
Remember when you were young, when I found you. I told you of the rebellion that
occurred in our Agency. They may have stolen some of our technologies, but not
all of it. I grant you with your weapon now, use it wisely for it is one of a kind.”

“It was a custom handgun, able to hold 10 rounds per clip, that can be enhanced with other customizable elements.”

“It may not look like much at first, but this pistol can only be fired by you, no one else. The pistol’s hand grip has been customized to read the DNA signature of its wielder.”

“ Guess that explains all of the blood tests they wanted, they just needed a blood
sample so they can program the computer with the hand grip to it reads my DNA.”

“In addition, the pistol can be automatically silenced do to a suppressor within the shaft of the gun, allowing for a more stealthier approach to certain situations.”

“So…I can sneak around undetected while taking out any target without being sited.”

“And now for the second part of your birthday gift, you get to be sent on your first mission. Don’t worry, you won't be alone, you’ll be with a team.”

“Finally, I got to experience for myself how one of these missions are carried out. We went to a debriefing and learned about the situation at hand.”

“Our mission was to infiltrate a small illegal weapons facility. It was located in the middle of Duoma woods, surrounded by thick forests. They had been producing weapons for terrorist organizations for quite some time now. We were ordered to sneak from the back entrance of the facility while taking out the guards before they spot us. We were to break into the main office and hold the head honcho into custody, forcing him to stop the production of weapons, and let slave workers go. He was to be apprehended and arrested. It was a stealth mission so we had to be very cautious. I was selected as the best candidate to infiltrate due to my speed and acrobatic skills. My new firearm also has a silencer capability, which also served as an advantage. We were dispatched immediately after the debriefing. Let's just say…that this was one hell of a birthday party…"

“After being dispatched inside the woods, we had to cross them for a bit to even see the weapons complex. If we had been dispatched too close, they might have noticed us. We crossed by a familiar river stream, it brought back some unpleasant memories…and once we arrived, it made me realize where we actually were. This was where my home once stood, where my mother died. This…just made things personal.”

“We had arrived at the back of the complex. It wasn’t heavily guarded, seeing as the back was protected with a sturdy electrical fence. This was where my unique talents came into play. The four other members of Terra Ward, which accompanied me, stood watch at all corners of the complex, inside the woods area. They were armed with sniper rifles equipped with suppressors at the end, so the shots would be muffled. They were ordered to take out any obstacles that might have gotten in my way. Although, once I got inside the complex, I was all alone. I navigated through the complex using acrobatics, and speed to sneak around undetected. I had to take out a few guards while I ventured through, and there lied my biggest mistake…”

“I had arrived at the main office. The only entrance to it were the front doors, so I had no choice but to take out the guards that were playing cards in front of it. It made the job easy that they didn’t see me coming. Or so I thought…”

“I entered the doors cautiously, and saw the head of the complex sitting calmly, looking straight ahead, towards me. It was a semi obese looking man, starting to bald, and smoking a cigarette. The room contained a disgusting odor. He wore thick shades as well. I kept my gun pointed at him as I slowly approached. He didn’t seem surprised at my entry. Maybe he was used to having people trying to break an entry…no matter.”

“So now they’re sending blind folded kids to try and stop our operation, huh!? SERIOUSLY! Who the hell do they think they are…Aaarrrh”

“I gave him a swift kick to the face to interrupt his speech. I had to take him back alive, unfortunately, or else I would have made him feel the same way I felt when I say my village burning before me. Let's just say, that kick was satisfying enough, at that moment.”

“You have NO idea how much I want to pull this trigger, at the moment, for everything you made me lose! You are under arrest by the Terra Ward protection agency.” I said to him. I was so angry I hadn’t even realized I was speaking to an unconscious body, hell… I was spoke. I guess I kicked him a little too hard. Just goes to show what emotions can do to you, huh? IT had also nearly cost me the success of this mission.”

“FREEZE!, kid, and step away from the commander.”

“I turned around slightly, and saw that I was surrounded by a vast number of troops pointing Ak-47s at me. There was no other way to escape, except through that door. I was so focused on wanting to get revenge, I had forgotten and the stealthiest part of the mission. I had forgotten to hide and dispose of the bodies of the soldiers I took out. I had, accidentally, led these troops to me with a trail of breadcrumbs, if I can put it that way.”

“They made me drop my gun, and turn my back to a wall. I thought it was over at this point. There were too many of them to try and fight off. I kept thinking to myself “Why, did this have to happen? Why couldn’t I be stronger? Now I won't be able to protect this world. Not for mother, Mikado…or anyone for that matter…it's all over.”

“As my thoughts went on, I remembered my promise, the one I made to mother before she died. Was I really gonna make it end like this? All of the effort and training for nothing?...”

“NO! I can't lose, I can't afford it! I made a promise, and I intend to keep it! Its either a miracle happens and I make it out alive, or I go down trying, and take some of them with me! Mikado, it was glad working with you sir…and Aya, take care of yourself…Here I come!”

“At that moment, when I spun around to face them before they were about to open fire, a blast of thunder came crashing through the ceiling. I had no idea whether it was a freak accident, or a mere coincidence it happened, but at that point, the troops where all lying on the floor, paralyzed. Before me, stood a white wolf surrounded by a glowing aura. I thought it was some sort of spirit or guardian angel that was watching over me, but it wasn’t”

“ So…you’re the one that saved me?“ I asked it. Again, I was so surprised, I did not notice that I spoke to it.

“…No…” a woman’s voice spoke to me, telepathically. I assumed it had come from the wolf.

“What!? Then who or what was that?” I looked from side to side to see if anyone else was with us, but it was only the 2 of us. When I turned back to look at it, it was pointing its paw at me.”

“…you…”

“me?...wait…your saying ….that lightning bolt… came from ME!?”

“It nodded. “…yes…”

“I…never knew I had this power before. So if you're saying I summoned that lightning bolt, then, who are you exactly?”

“It pointed its paw at me, again, and it responded. “I…am part of you…” . “I am … your power…”

“…I see…so you are me, or at least, part of me. The part, which can unleash this power.”

“…yes…wield me…”

“…Very well….I shall use this power then. I’ll use it to fulfill that promise, and I will never falter!”

“..very well…”

“A blinding flash emerged from it…and it was gone. A wrist band appeared on my left wrist. There was the image of a silhouette of a wolf, howling, on it. There was the word “Argent”, written under it…so I assumed it was its name. I began calling it that from there on. This power, Argent, shall be the light that guides me to victory.”

“HEY! Are you okay!?”

“My teammates came rushing through the front.”

“We saw the huge lightning bolt break through the roof! We thought you might be dead!...huh wait, what are these bodies?...OH wait.. HAHA..looks like that thunder saved your ass, huh. Who knew you would succeed your first mission due to a freak lightning storm. The weather never said anything about it though…weird…”

“I walked past them without saying a word. They decided to let me head back to the evacuation point seeing as I did most of the mission. They took care of the rest.”

“I couldn’t tell them about Argent, or else they might take her away from me, thinking she might be too great a threat. I had to train with her in secret so that they do not spot her, ever.”

“We returned back to the HQ with the weapons chief held in custody, and I spent the night outside upon a cliff next to a tree, alone… or should I say, with my new found ally…my power.”

3 years later

“I was lying next to that very same tree upon that cliff the night Argent and I began to get to know each other, and Argent lied down next to me. It was
late at night and I focused and what may be out there, what threats may come about. When I turned back for a moment, I noticed someone coming towards us. I told Argent to quickly turn back into her bracelet. ”

“So THAT’s where you were.”

“ Aya, came to sit next to me.”

“ Yeah know, we’ve been living together for quite a while now, and you never
once spoke a word or took those bandages off your eyes. My dad says you do that
because you’re special, in a way. I wonder what you could be hiding…”

“I smelled her hand slowly approaching to my bandages, I quickly swatted it
away, and the hand retreated. “

“ HEEEeyyy that hurt. Do you really wanna hide your eyes that badly? …Sigh
AAAAnyways, You know we ARE starting College tomorrow? I’m sure we’ll be
making so many new friends so we won't be alone anymore. It’s a new experience,
and maybe we’ll meet someone that’s just like you,… special. Maybe you won’t need
to conceal yourself anymore.”

“If only you knew what it meant to be “special”, Aya…
I turned my head away from her and uttered these first, and final words to her.”

“If you only knew what I was, or what is behind these bandages. You
would be afraid, and run away, and you would call me a monster, just like those I
knew when I was younger.”

"She didn't say anything at first; I couldn't bear to look in her direction."

"I'm...sorry."

"She said it in a low voice, almost as if she was about to cry. I heard her get up slowly
and walk away.”

“ It wasn’t your fault, Aya. You were only curious, much like I was almost a
decade ago... But my curiosity cost me a great deal.

I don't want her to make the same mistakes..."

Present

“It's now been about 1 year since then, and I’m at the age of 20 going onto 21. I
have gone through a year of education in college, with Aya as my guide. I have been
given the code name of “HOWL”, appropriate if I do say so myself.”

“And the mission…
Begins…
NOW!”

------end------

Proficiencies:

A) Tracking/scouting (High)
B) Hand to Hand Combat (Very High)
C) Swordfigthing (Null)
D) Acrobatics (High)
E) Marksmanship (High)
G) Magic “Argent (counts as light and Lightning)” (Mid-High)

Fighting Style:

Wild style fighting relying on instincts and using diversions with his Gun. Argent is Ookami’s magic, only materialized in a wolf form. It acts as a partner and his access to magic to stun and confuse opponents. No particular fighting discipline.

Techniques:

Silver noise (rapid fire): Shoots at an accelerated firing rate.

Tamed Beast: Argent fights alongside Ookami as a wolf and acts as a partner. Ookami can give it commands as to what to do. Argent can be used for reconnaissance purposes as well. Seeing as Argent is part of Ookami, they have a bond together allowing Ookami to communicate telepathically with her.

Wolf’s Bite: Argent is shot from his Gun as a projectile. Seeing as it is not an actual bullet, a sort of energy zapping sound is emitted from the shot. It is basically an energy bullet. A flash of light is also emitted when shot from the gun barrel, which can be used to blind opponents if they are close enough and then allow Ookami to close in close range for hand to hand combat.

>-Stunning fang: Argent can be shot directly at foe in the form of energy, As soon as it's about to impact, Argent reverts to wolf form and bite’s the opponent, causing a flinching paralysis. Flinch paralysis last for 5 seconds. Can be used to stop an opponent's charge up or attack preparation.

>-Lightning strikes twice: Argent is shot directly at the foe in materialized form. First blow is dealt on impact or is blocked by the foe. Second blow is dealt through Argent propelling upwards and back down in the form of a Lightning bolt. The first blow can be served as a distraction, while the second blow can deal the damage.

>-Marksman’s Faint: Argent is shot from the barrel in the form of energy, missing completely, argent then materializes to flank opponent from behind.

>-Roaring Reflection: Argent can be shot at any reflecting surface (mirror, metal, window, etc) to rebound, in light form, and hit the opponent afterwards. Can be followed up with Stunning fang or Lightning strikes twice.

>-Howling Bolt: Argent is shot upwards, towards the sky, and disappears within the clouds. After duration between 1-15 seconds (15 being the maximum) Argent strikes at the enemies’ position in the form of a lightning bolt. Can be prepared as a trap.

Flash Bomb:  Argent emits a blinding lightning bolt that blinds all within a 10-meter radius, flash lasts for 5 seconds.

Moonlight: Argent transforms into an orb of light that lasts for 1 hour, and then reverts. Used to illuminate dark places. Argent must then revert to bracelet form afterwards to recharge for 30 minutes.

Riot Shield: Argent creates a light barrier dome (does not move) with a 1 to 5 meter radius. Defends from magic attacks. It cannot block Bullets, Swords or a physical blow, but can block them if they are magically enchanted. Ookami cannot use magically enchanted bullets within the barrier.

Magic Missiles: Bullets are imbued with Argents light magic. Causes the bullets to produce light/electric damage.

Spark Plug: Ookami’s handgun is enchanted with Argent itself. Allows him to fire up to 10 Electrical discharges (can be charged). On impact, discharges can paralyze the target for 10 seconds (only charged version can paralyze). (Can only paralyze twice a day)

Fatal Hunt (VERY limited use): Argent enters Ookami’s body and boosts him considerably. Can only be used when Ookami is in critical condition (near death for example). Note: after use, this puts a strain on the users body. The user must rest for a minimum of 20 hours afterwards. Final Hunt benefits include:
-   Strength and speed doubles.
-   Reflexes increased.
-   Firing speed dramatically increases.
-   Punch and kick range increase. (emits a light energy wave with every swing)
-   Halved magic damage (light aura emitted around him protects him from magic)
-   The Wolf’s Judgment:  Ookami punches the ground at full force, generating a dome of electricity surrounding a 20-meter radius, causing catastrophic electrical damage to everything caught within it. After use of this attack , Ookami reverts back to being normal and faints due to immense strain.

Personality:

-He doesn’t speak, and just stays by himself or with Aya most of the time. Often likes to be left alone, and is usually focused on his main objectives (whatever they may be), but can be distracted due to his emotions at times. Guided around by Aya, but is also very protective of her seeing as she is almost like a sister to him. Will fight for what he thinks is right and will attempt to save those he deems important to him, even if it may cost him in the end. Relationship wise, he has never been in one, not that he's never considered it. He believes his appearance would prevent him from ever finding a significant other; therefore he tries to forget ever trying to find love, despite the fact that he does think about it. He has been in college for a year now, leaving him with somewhat of a reputation. He was considered to be "the weird, blind, transfer student that doesn't talk", at least so the rumors stated. Other, somewhat preposterous, rumors were spread around about his appearance and his lack of speech (some would say he comes from a place that doesn't speak English, which is why he never speaks). That being said, he has been given attention by the opposite sex. Do to his condition; they consider him to be quite "mysterious". As well as often being commented on his flawless long hair. It does reassure him, deep down, that the opposite gender does show signs of attraction to him but seeing as he is lead around by Aya all the time, she is often mistaken to be his love interest, thus explaining why girls don't usually make an attempt at any approach towards him. Aya usually answers for him if the case may be that he is confronted, but resorts to hand or body gestures as a response if she is not around (like pointing in a direction or nodding). Overall, He would be considered the "lone wolf" archetype when not being accompanied by Aya and despite him being left alone, he is often talked about in hallways and amongst his classmates due to his differences.

Fighting Map:

-His unique pistol gives him an advantage at a distance. Ookami’s firing speed is faster that of a regular human. His pistol can be magically enhanced with light and lightning magic. Argent can produce a light dome around Ookami and other individuals to block magic attacks. It leaves Ookami protected from magic blast while he can retaliate by firing his weapon.

-Uses Argent  (Pronounced: Are-gent), in a materialized for multiple combat tactics as well as its light and electrical capabilities. It can enchant his gun or can be used as a bullet itself.

-Wild combat style. No actual discipline. Uses basic self-defense, submission techniques, and instinct to hit weak points. Uses Argent to stun or distract opponents while he can get close up for hand-to-hand combat.

Pros:

-He is, in fact, nice and will assist those in need.

-Protective of his friends and will fight for them if need be (mostly defend Aya).

- Lack of any combat discipline leaves him to be very unpredictable.

-Being a Hybrid tainted by the DaemonSpawn allows him to smell fear within a certain distance.

-He as unpredictability as an advantage, seeing as he has no known fighting style.
 - Enhanced strength (twice as strong as the average healthy human being) Reduce firing recoil while shooting.
- Inhuman speed (1.5 times faster than the average healthy human being.)  Increases firing speed.
 - Inhuman acrobatics: Can allow for confusion tactics, escape tactics, dodging tactics, alternate ways to get closer to an enemy.
 - Wields a specialized Handgun only usable by him. (Readable through his DNA)
-Tries to target at weak points of the body to injure/kill opponent NPC (neck, slower part of the spinal cord, knee caps, upper leg, solar plexus, ribs, …etc).
-Argent can flank from behind while Ookami can fight at the front, or vice versa. Attacking from behind can cause critical damage (attacking the spinal cord and such).

Cons:

-His emotions can get the better of him at times.

-He is often misunderstood.

- Lack of speech may cause miscommunication. Although may speak if emotions get hold of him.

- Can be cold at times. He is usually direct with his opinions (if he ever shares them that is).

- Hard to approach at first, especially with the fact that he is so silent.

-Lack of any combat discipline makes him limited to having no particular hand-to-hand techniques.

-His pistol can fire 10 rounds but then he needs to reload.

General Arts in Classes (6):

-Symphony II
-History of Arts
-Conceptual and Evolutive Arts
-Arts and Humanities
-Zeto (Japanese Equivalent)
-Advanced Artistic Creation and Production

Favorite colour(s): Red, Black, Dark Blue (as it reminds him of the night sky and the stars)
Favorite food: Mint Chocolate
Least favorite food:Carrots
General Likes: Stargazing, Training, Daydreaming
Usual School and Casual Dress code: Wears a jean Jacket with sleeves rolled up to his elbows and color popped up. Always wears a wristband with a picture of a silhouette of a howling wolf on it, and the word “Argent” written under (no one has ever seen him take it off). His hair is usually tied in a ponytail, although leaves part of it to cover his face. Where’s a silver loop earring on his left ear.
Sexual orientation: Straight, but is afraid of what girls will think of what he looks.
Greatest fears: Loosing/disappointing those he cares about, Failing at what he deems important to him, What people would think of his appearance.

Yes, he has no REAL abilities revealed, or any real history. That'll follow ^^

Name:
   James Jirith
Alias:
   Jiji, Old Man
Occupation:
   Confectionery Store Owner/College Counselor
Age:
   25
Location:
Kanejou Confectionery, Near the Institute, Asuri
Counselor's Room [3], Second Floor, High Collegial Institute of Saka, Asuri

Background:
Jiji doesn't really like to talk about his past, so not much is known until he moved into the area a couple of years ago. He came as a person with a talent for food, yet with nothing but his clothes. He came with a smile, and only an ambition to start his own confectionery shop. Sure, life was tough for him in securing a place, but eventually he found his niche near a developing academy. Nobody knows much about him and his skills, but it really didn't matter in the end. He made sweets, he comforted the young, and the people rejoiced.

Although he never spoke of his own feats, in a short two years he established himself as a top-level confectionist and as an insightful counselor. He was legend in his local area for being the most soft-spoken, but also as the kindest soul. He would often give complementary sweets to random people, whether it was children who passed by his shop, the students who sat in his office, or the head of the institute. He would often not say much to others other than a simple conversation, yet his ideas were spoken through his actions and his smile. It is only when he enters his counselor role does he have a deep conversation with anyone.

However, his modesty and even style of speaking seems outdated to many, and thus is known playfully as the old man locally, or in other circles as Jiji. Some people question his true past due to this, and indeed they are correct that the old man does have many secrets of his own.

The man is also known to have some mastery of Martial Arts, performing a style he experimented on and created himself. It uses the walking stick he carries around to create a defensive stance that wears the opponent down.

Personality:
Concerned with more about his immediate world, the old man shows apathy to the large-scale politics of the whole city and country. His concerns lie with the people he interacts with, whom he shows a quiet friendliness. Although the least vocal person in his area, it is known that he is reliable, and never brags of his own accomplishments. Always quietly concerning himself with the troubles of others, Jiji knows everything about what's going on in his area, while also helping out those in that same trouble. He loves his job as a confectionist more than anything, and takes pride in his work. However, James is also one who concerns himself with the emotional concerns in life, and is not easily swayed by the logical wit and banter that some have. Thus, when intelligent and smart people attempt to strum conversation with him, a simple sorry is all that follows.

Proficiencies:
   Cooking: (Master Class)
   Martial Arts: (Mid)
   Mechanics: (Mid)
   Magic: (Unknown)

Fighting Map:
Only once has James' ever been seen in a fight, and it was against a bunch of burglars attempting to raid his store. From that information, it seems the old man places emphasis on wearing the opponent out before making his more powerful moves. It took Jiji 20 minutes to wear out his opponents before he subdued them for the authorities.

Fighting Technique:
Final Submission: A term dubbed by the children who witnessed Jiji's defense of his shop, the move purportedly involved strong strikes to one leg, then one arm, then finally snapping his walking stick and hitting both the chest and the back simultaneously. Of course, this hasn't been proven by anyone but the children themselves.

Pros:
   -Lacks a desire for power
   -Has great endurance
-Can stay focused for long periods of time
   -Remembers things well

Cons:
-Lacks concern for the larger side of the world
-Lets emotion come first rather than logic
-A bit hard to communicate with
-Lacks the will to truly beat someone down, even when justified.

Backstory:
While he has been at the High Collegial Institute  of Saka for the whole three year program since its beginning, not much is known about  20 year-old Mathios Adamiante's situation. As such, not much can be said. The fact that he rarely communicated with classmates and peers in general outside of the necessary does not help to that fact either, and actually add to his slightly mysterious status, although quite dispersed by his positive and friendly attitude. Basically, Mathios looks like a very hard-working man that does not consider meshing with people more than necessary an ideal of success. However, while not permitting any official statement of friendship due to partiality and sparse occurrences, he does seem spend time with and to accept and respond to communication and time-to-time trivialities (such as waving greetings or goodbyes in hallways or departing school) from and with another 3rd year Technology wing Major (as they both ahve the same field of studies) and only one with high enough scores to share with him the class highest on tests in their common classes, Abigail Carrington. Such behavior is so well known as rare that most people notice instantly of their occurrences; some girls will enter a bottled and intense jealousy and sometimes tease and pick on her for it, and boys will either show clear surprise, designate his behavior as snob, or exact the same reaction as the girls, only subjected towards the young Carrington.
Very few people know of some slight elements of his surroundings and history, and usually those are so few and far apart that, truth or not, they easily pass as rumors. From what rumors speak, however, he lives alone. They say he'd have a father and little sister, the latter being a very important recipient of his affection. He shows unclear definition of what goal he pursues with the results of his studies, and what he does away from school or on his spare time is somewhere where even rumors dare not tread.
A very serious student, himself majoring in nanotechnology and robotics,  he spends most of his time studying or remotely working by himself on personal projects related to robotics or Energy technology, by himself in their respective locals.
While his behavior limits his interaction with people, however, it does not mean that he has nothing other than very high grades and attention. He has demonstrated a strikingly elaborate and intensely pronounced proficiency in martial arts class, and one or two occurrences out of it, be it self-defense or sparring in class. With a profound and intimidating high intellect and being fast enough to catch a fist in a seemingly half-given reflex, he does not let himself get surpassed in physical competition even with his little frame and reduced strength compared to most of his classmates. He does not win all the time, however, and shows light-hearted attitude towards defeat and competition, in fact, seemingly uninterested enough in displays of strength and competition that he is known to slightly unnerve his respective school teachers and especially his classmates by such an unchallenging attitude in the domain. According to his self-defence teachers in the Institute, he is unsettlingly and frustratingly uninterested in showing his full potential.
"Mathios possesses the blinding speed, technical proficiency and wide knowledge of his own ki to surpass most people, probably the best... he just doesn't give it a care in the world," they'd claim with a sigh.
No matter the pas that Mathios had, it is believed by the community that it is a highly educated, noble and dedicated lifestyle. He is considered as one of the best around, and most people dare not test the theory.

Proficiencies: (Null & Very Low to Very High)
A)   Hand to Hand Combat: (Very High)
B)   Ki (Mid) (Strong Ki)
C)   Elemental Magic (Null)
D)   Tendentic Magic (Null)

Fighting Style:
In a combat situation, Mathios is all about the close range. While he is not particularly strong (in fact maybe a small tad less than a man his age) his technique in martial arts is his best tool towards effort to compensate for it and he has a fairly good control over a  strong ki outlet, seemingly a user of a rare and extinct fighting style quite unknown in most areas. Only a few would know of its existence, but some people could have seen it on some occasion. His high intelligence and lightning-fast reflexes are his best attempt at making compensation for the light constitution of his body, while mistakes do cost him dearly. If he has to rely on himself, it's going to be about speed and technique. Taken in from a ranged position, Mathios has no true approach or remedy. He prefers to rely on his own capacities than use the environment as a lever. Always seems to take fights lightheartedly or with a friendly warning in the worst cases, smiling. Not known to be the violent or turbulent type, never started a fight at school.

Fighting Strengths:
Vast intelligence in combat situations, formidable reflex time and instinct and comparable speed of execution and movement. Agile and acrobatic. A relatively good control over a very potent ki. Fast healing - while perfectly inside  the humanly possible limits- and quick recovery. Calculative and predicting, can string up a multitude of hits due to great posture and technique, can create martial art "form traps" (basically making the adversary answer his moves by positioning themselves open for other moves). Very focused and has never been seen giving in to emotion during a fight.

Fighting Weaknesses:
Reduced strength and constitution for his age and height. Completely devoid of any elemental or tendentic affinity. While he can deal with opponents of very high constitution thanks to his ki, vulnerable when challenged with and hit by opponents of great strength because of his actual light weight and aforementioned shortcomings.

Fighting Techniques:

Hand to hand Techniques:

-   Lethba [Fallen Ruins] - (Style Form): A martial art form that launches with a low sweep made to miss. The attacks are whirling open palms attacks obtained from rotating in a controlled and stable manner from a low position, comparable to highly pressed and striking slaps of forearms, palms and backhands. The stance rises and closes to a very close position before sidestepping next to the opponent and projecting both arms against him, completing the form and aiming to make opponents fall and to wear out muscles. (Ki compatible) (Takes a toll on stamina if in-combo/with ki, need to breathe)
-   Lethmet [Standing ruins]- (Style Form): A martial art form that launches with a lunging side kick prepared to miss. The momentum is changed into a roundhouse kick of the opposite side which engages into a tornado kick. Landing requires to drop right in front of the opponent by using the momentum of the kick to approach. Rise into stance with a double palm thrust to the torso, straightening up or lifting up the opponent slightly. The form is completed by a side-to front punch of high power that aims to send the opponent backwards. (Ki compatible)
-   Lethkart [Falling Ruins]- (Style Form): A martial art form that launches with a jump and descending hand blade strike to the neck that is acceptable to miss. Landing, takes a firm stance and crosses arms into two low hand blade strikes to the thighs. Immediately uncross arms, using recoil from the strike to bounce them up and across as palm strikes to the abdomen or torso, aiming to lift while descending in a low stance. Strike recoil is used to spring in a rising side kick. Before the momentum is over, revolve and jump into a crashing and spiking downwards kick to send opponent back to the floor, completing the form. (Ki Compatible) (Takes a toll on stamina if in-combo/with ki, need to breathe)
-   Ryumbar [Battering Branches]- (Style Form): A high speed rush with a direct thrust of three palm strikes to the chest, and a double palm press to the same area. This completes the form and aims to knock back the opponent. (Ki compatible) (Takes a toll on stamina if in-combo/with ki, need to breathe)
-   Liobuth [Crushing leaf wind] - (Style Form): A roundhouse kick continued into another with the opposite leg, followed by a revolution formed into a tornado double kick, all of these to the head. Upon landing, the recoil of it is sprung into the front leg and turned into a direct spin kick to the stomach or torso. This completes the form and aims to throw the opponent off their feet or send them flying.
-   Suor - Mido Tay [Eight Trigrams: Double Palm Trust] (Ki Technique): Focuses all of the ki inside the user's palms and creates a crash course of his own mass against the opponent's, multiplying the collision's force by the ki's amplitude, sending the target flying in a straight course from the application of his united hands. Cooldown of 5 minutes.
-   Suor - Ki Gemno [Eight Trigrams: Ki Repulsion] (Ki Technique): Focuses all of the ki inside the core and guide it directly to the palms before throwing them towards the ground, palms downwards, pulsing a blast zone of escaping ki at the user's feet and creating an area of physical and energy repulsion which projects close-by opponents or objects in the opposite direction, horizontally or vertically depending of their position from the user. The blast zone depends on the amount of ki released. Cooldown of 5 minutes.
-   Suor - Fed ti Parh [Eight Trigrams - Coil and Poison] (Ki Counter Technique): Catching a direct attack and in the instant it is maintained in momentum, groups the index and middle finger together in a needle, and strikes the member at the high part or articulation (eg. the arm to shoulder range, not lower than the elbow) and inject an explosive and potent amount of ki through the striking fingers, numbing the member for a time. Cooldown is very short. (Tiny amount of Ki necessary, no physical effort needed since the strike is only maintained then struck in an instant, more use of speed than strength.)

N.B.: Suor techniques are made to be executed in chains, but can be employed detached.

Fighting Map: Mathios does not underestimate opponents. While he always takes things with a grain of salt, he will do what he thinks is the best approach and give it his best without going even slightly overboard.  He does not believe in excessive force in martial arts. For this reason, he goes for the best chance he thinks he has of gaining the upper hand and does not falter. He uses means necessary but not more than that.

Pros:
- Very positive display of attitude and positive-speaking teammate in group projects.
- Persistent
- Cooperative and friendly through interactions.
- Very skilled with robotics, machines in general, has a very wide world knowledge and when the time comes to understanding computers, programming or the functioning of a mechanism, he is among the superior top people to go to.
- Shows a very patient and unconflicting attitude to people addressing him.
- Calm and collected, always thinks about situations first before acting. Is quick to come to solutions for problems.
- Very fluent and connected to languages of most kind, helps people who need help at them, when they ask.
- Very efficient worker with a resulting very high grades, especially in his specialty classes.

Cons:
- Seems to refuse to mesh with the student and teacher body.
- Generally stays by himself and work on his own things. Intimidating/hard to approach without a free pass.
- Does not show high or sufficient competition in self-defence class, taking things too light-heartedly most the time.
- Sometimes looked down upon because of his frail form and lack of will to fight.
- Persistent
- No determined, official friends in the student or teacher body, although he shows signs of active, if faint, communication with Technology 3rd year Abigail Carrington.
- Takes failure very hard.

Personality:
While people don't have many chances of interacting with him, Mathios is always shown to be open to helping out and being cheerful about it, even though he does not pursue or maintain friendships with most of his peers and teachers or even show interest when not immediately brought to interacting with them. He wastes time getting into conversation or spending time with classmates and is usually on his own but does not look depressed about that condition: just very serious, to himself and perhaps, sometimes, in deep thought. While he is excessively polite, he has been known to harshly and bluntly refuse invitations for extracurricular or activities outside of school. That also goes for the opposite sex's attempts; Mathios is, while actually widely regarded by the female community as an attractive and a target for relationship attempts, known for always showing clear and dry, even though friendly, rejection. In such ways, it is hard to determine if he is uninterested and picky or if he is actually, genuinely ignorant of his effect on women. Incidentally, he has become a secret and prized subject of the girls as a hard-to-get, secret crush. He is the kind of boy that shows kindness whenever necessary and always brings things to their end at the best of his abilities. He seems to rebuke failure with the same passion. Mathios actually has a very valiant and good-willing heart, even though it's easy to miss. He has never shown any inclination to dangerous, cruel or misconducting ways and always shows utter, complete politeness and gentlemanly behaviour, partly a reason why he is seen the way he is. Rare are the people that actually don't like the kind of person he appears to be, and those that do mostly show him reject and dislike through the door of jealousy. Whether or not he notices all of this is another mystery.

Favorite colour(s): Deep blue, black, white
Favorite food(s): Ramen, sticky rice
Least favorite color(s): Yellow, lime green
Least favorite food(s): Mushrooms, tofu, soy-based products
General Likes: Technology, robotics, working with the aforementioned, martial arts, success chosen closeness and connections, poetry, his rumoured little sister.
Usual Dress code: Mathios has never been seen wearing something that had short sleeves or shorts. While he sometimes gets very creative with the long sleeves and full pants, most the time, even if the school possesses no dress code, he will often come to school in an official school uniform, mostly those often seen in the Hinato regions. People have taken note of it but no one has come up with any reason for it. His colors are usually black and white or other contrasting colors, but rarely colors that attract attention and appear as flashy: very modest.
Sexual orientation: Mathios is a picky yet clearly straight man.
Greatest fears: Failure, betrayal, rejection.

~Everything Has Changed, Please if you would be kind enough reread all of the following data.~

First Name: Link
Last Name: Lyons
Nickname: None yet thankfully..
Age: 37
Birthday: January 19th
Height: 6' 1”
Weight: 190 lbs.
Occupation: Aikibudo, self-defense and sparring Teacher

Backstory: [Thanks to anybody who is willing to read this! I swear its somewhat interesting.]

Where did this all begin.. Well, I grew up in Hinato, in a small town called Gamato stationed between three major cities. I was a normal child to a degree, my father an archaeologist and my mother well, a housewife. My father wasn't around very much, my mother was overly loving and now that I think about it might be the cause of most of my soft-heartedness. When father was around he usually spent it with my mother, any other time he would be training in martial arts. Father had a fond love for his martial arts, although not particularly great at it he did love to train and get stronger, he was always one to want to learn new things. I would always join him even as a small boy anytime he would be training. It was really the only personal time I had with him.

It was around the age of 14 that my father was getting too old to juggle work, family and martial arts anymore. My personal time with him started to decrease more and more until the only personal time with him I got was at dinner. Of course that meant all my family time was being spent with my mother, it started to get a bit too much for a young teen like me to handle at that point. I started to find excuses to spend more time away from home after school. Having never been out of my town I started traveling to neighboring cities, only an hour away it was rather sad that I hadn't seen them already. I made it a priority to get home before dinner though, seeing as my mother would be extremely worried about me and probably embarrass me by getting the town to search for me... It would ruin the little reputation I had at school!

I got away with my little trips for a good two years before something went wrong, and by went wrong I don't mean I got caught.. Well, I was already adapted to hitching rides on trade carts to the neighboring cities. Our town was 100% reliant upon trade from other bigger cities. It was a day like any other, I had caught a ride and was nearly there before a loud roar unlike Ive ever heard before got my attention. It shot fear throughout my body and I was reluctant to move from the back of the cart, I could hear as the sound started coming closer from towards the drivers side of the cart. The driver screamed out “What, what the fuck is that!”, I could hear as he took off running from the cart north towards the city. The whole time my body frozen with fear, it sounded like it came straight from a horror movie. Footstep running away, then sudden screaming of “No, No!” and then a sudden silence. It took me a good 5 minutes to gather enough strength to get out of the cart. Slowly, taking my time I crawled from the back of the cart and slid myself onto the ground. I looked around cautiously, finding no sign of the driver or whatever it was that scared me so badly. I took towards the city hoping to find safety and answers.

I reached the gate of the city and started to look around for somebody to help me. The usually bustling city was more like a ghost town now. I could hear people at a distance but it didn't sound normal, these people were yelling and screaming in fear, now spooked myself I took it upon myself to find out where all the screaming was coming from. I took a few steps forward looking into the far regions of the city. I noticed a young man that seemed disturbed, he was looking around him showing high signs of paranoia, it was at that moment something stepped out of the alley just a few feet away from him. I was too far away to see what it was but it was easy to see that it was not human nor an animal I have ever seen. Within seconds the creature spotted the man, I tried to call out the the man, my body frozen with fear nothing came out, I was screaming “run, run away!” in my mind. In a matter of seconds the creature was on top of the man, I could see the creature ravaging his body, my eyes wide open in fear I could hear my heart beating in my ears. This creature was eating the guy, not only that but the creature didn't look as if he was doing it for sustenance, he was torturing the man. Slowly picking him apart piece by piece making sure to keep the guy alive as long as possible as if he was feeding on the mans fear itself.

I cringed and backed up a few feet, my body still shaken with fear. I bumped into a bag of trash on the sidewalk making a bit of noise, a chill shot through my spine at the thought of the creature hearing it and my eyes shot back to total attention towards the alley. Just as I feared the creature walked back out again, he quickly noticed me. Oddly enough he was taking his sweet time to get to me, or should I say thankfully. I quickly took grabbed a hold of myself and started running, just as I did I could hear the creature chasing after me from a distance quickly catching up. It was only a matter of time before it caught up.

I was just passing the main gate when a bright golden net flew in front of me.  The first thought through my mind was “What the..” then I braced myself for impact throwing up my arms closing my eyes. To my surprise I slipped right through the net, coming to a rough stop spinning 180 degrees from bracing myself for impact. I opened my eyes the sun directly in my eyes to see the creature mid-air lunging towards me. Again to my surprise the creature stopped in mid-air. I raised my hand covering the sun to get a better view, that net was still there. Just as I caught a glimpse of net it slammed down around the creature pinning it to the ground.

A tall odd man walked past the creature. He had a calm glow about him, collected even though such a creature just appeared. The man smiled at me and pressed his hand against my chest gently. I looked down at his hand to notice my chest starting to glow brightly. I asked the man what the fuck was going on, his response was “its time for you to go home now kid.” At that moment a blinding light filled the air and I blacked out..

I awoke in my bed, before even realizing it I shouted out “Fuck that guy calling me a kid!”. I looked around starting to realize my surroundings, what exactly happened was beyond me. It was to vivid for all that to be a dream. My body still ached of exhaustion, I dragged myself out of bed and stepped into the bathroom to wash my face, my hands were shaking still. Upon examination in the mirror I noticed a thin necklace around my neck that was not there before, at the end of it was a white stone. Even more confused now I went to check on my family for information as to how the hell I got home, maybe they saw someone take me home? I got into the kitchen and it was about dinner time already, the table wasn't set and I could not smell moms lovely cooking. I was now worried. What if those creatures...No! Theres no way that was real. I dashed into the living room to find my family sitting on the couch holding each other, I was relieved. I attempted to talk to my parents but got no response. I walked around the cough curious as to the problem, one look of their face and it was obvious, they were frozen in fear. I took a look where their eyes were located, the window.. Those creatures..they were real.

I tensed up again at the sight of the creatures, our whole town was being annihilated by dozens of them, screams and terror filled the town. This is exactly what had happened to the neighboring city and now it was our turn.. I sat down with my family and grasped at my mothers arm in fear. Just as I did one of the creatures quickly walked up to the window with what I could have sworn was a smile. This creature looked like he was having the time of his life, it turned and peered into the window noticing us immediately. My mother started to cry, my father couldn't do anything but hold my mother. The creatures hand pressed against the glass of the window as though he was teasing us, slowly taking his time to get inside. The wait was agonizing as his claws scratched against the window slowly, the smile across its face growing bigger and bigger.

Then..Just as the creatures teeth were exposed from its smile the window cracked. My mom let out a scream and as she did a large blast of energy shot out in all directions from my chest, upon closer inspection I noticed the white gem around my neck emanating with a strong glow, the outside of the window now had a feint white shimmer on it. The creature had been killed by the light and my family had feinted, the other nearby creatures noticed the death of the creature at our window and quickly came over to investigate. They stopped at the creatures body and looked around for what seemed to be forever. They could not see us, it was like we were invisible to them. I had no time to ask questions and quickly checked my family for signs of life. They were fine, just in a state of sleep. I quickly boarded up the window and carried my parents to their beds.

I dragged myself to my own bed, still scared but as I looked at the gem around my chest I got an odd sense of security, as if me and my family were being protected. This was enough to allow me to fall asleep. I fell into a deep sleep, dreaming for what seemed to be days and days. I had dreams about things I did not yet understand like Magic, Energy, and Elements. It was as if I was being fed someone else's memory and knowledge in my sleep. I would catch glimpses of a Great Conflict between many strong people, If I had to use one word to describe those people it would have to be “Heroes”.

I woke up feeling more energetic than usual. Just how long was I out? A loud knock on the door caught my attention, I took a look down at the stone attached to the necklace around my neck to notice it had cracked into two. I took caution to the knocking asking who it was, to my relief it was a human voice calling out. It seems that there was a military group looking for survivors. I opened the door relieved, the group of soldiers quickly showed signs of relief for finding more survivors.

The soldiers invited themselves in to take a break from searching. My parents walked out of the bedroom looking just as energetic as I did, they sat down and listened to the soldiers stories or should I say propaganda of what happened, one thing I did find interesting about their story was the fact that two whole weeks had gone by. I found it amazing that me and my family had been asleep for two whole weeks, not to mention we were still alive as well. My family seemed to had completely forgotten about the creatures.. which I found to be best.

It wasn't too long before rebuilding of the town and surrounding cities began. Everything was even more peaceful than usual as everybody had become closer by working together to recreate what we had lost. Nobody really knew what actually happened that day, I found that really surprising as well as for the best.

The dreams I had those two weeks never really went away, I had the same type of dreams over and over for years, I started to find out more and more about myself and about magic, I was quite literally studying in my sleep. During my free time I would try to use what I learned to find out my own magic proficiencies, it took a lot of training and concentration but soon I was able to release something amazing. I found out I had magic proficiencies in Wind as well as Light. Slowly I learned how to use these proficiencies in new and exiting ways, although they had to stay a secret I was always exited to achieve new levels in my magic abilities.

Through no preference of my own it happened that most of my magic abilities ended up being able to aid others, I was able to create healing techniques capable of healing ones wounds and quickly bringing them back into good conditions. Problem was I had yet to meet anyone else with magic abilities and these kind of powers would cause too much trouble if used publicly..I was really limited on what I could do with my magic. The best I could do was secretly heal peoples wounds when asleep but even so that became too risky as they could not explain how they healed over night.

I started to get off track in my magic training as my use for it was never clear, even so I never completely gave up on it, developing a ritual where every Sunday I would find a quite secluded area and train myself till complete exhaustion. Truth was I was starting to have that urge to train in martial arts again and was looking into finding a teacher that fit my style.

I ended up taking Aikibudo classes, I think it was a mixture of my mothers soft-heart and my fathers love for martial arts that made Aikibudo the perfect choice for me. A defensive type martial art with the ability to protect others without need to kill. I spent several years training in Aikibudo under the best teacher in town, he was old but very wise as well as extremely skilled. I trained under him for a total of 4 years.

Time went by and I learned all I could under my teacher, he was getting too old for teaching and it was showing. He called me to attention after class one day late season and proposed a teaching job upon me. I was surprised and honored that he would choose me to take over in his leave, it wasnt much longer afterwards that he retired and lived out the rest of his life in peace. I took over the class getting a real feel for what it was like to teach others. I grew to love to teach, quickly wanting to teach more and more people the ways of martial arts, mainly Aikibudo.

I was going on 27 years old when I received a letter in the mail, upon reading I realized it was an invitation to teach at a renown school known for its extreme size and quality. Problem was this school resided in the city of Saka, in the land of Asuri. Which was quite a distance from my hometown. Non the less this was an opportunity one cant just pass up. I quickly took the letter to my parents and explained the situation. Reluctant for me to move so far away they still blessed me with their okay.

I soon found a replacement teacher for the class in town, he was young like when I started teaching and just as skilled. I soon said my goodbyes to my family and took off on my trip to Asuri. Upon arrival I found it to be much more different than my home country. Much more civilized and advanced in technology, the cities were packed with people and the potential surrounding me was incredible. I soon got to the High Collegial Institute of Saka where I quickly made a name for myself.

Teaching Martial Arts Monday through Friday, spending Saturday relaxing with fellow female teachers and my Sundays training my body in my Wind and Light affinities I have found my life to be a full and exiting one. I have spent a good 10 years teaching at this school now and I have no doubts about what I am doing with my life. I have seen many students grow to become more than they ever thought possible of themselves and I am proud to be a part of that.

I am 37 years old now and I cant help but wonder what life has got in store for me next.

Proficiencies: (Null & Very Low to Very High)
A) Light [Healing] (High)
B) Light [Electricity] (Mid)
C) Wind (Mid)
D) Self Defense Martial Arts (High)
E) Ki (Null)

Fighting Style:

Link uses his training in Aikibudo, Wind and Light as an aid-type Magic caster with the ability to stay clear from most physical attacks via Aikibudo. If against a serious opponent Link will use a dagger he keeps concealed at his left side to parry projectiles or physical attacks to fast or dangerous to use Aikibudo on.

Link has a high ability to take care of himself in a fight if the opponent decides to take a few pot shots at him although he does not have many serious damaging techniques so spending too much time defending himself is not only taxing to him but he cant very well cast off any aid-type magics at the same time.

======================================================

Techniques:

Soul Seeking: A passive ability Link discovered young into his magic training, the ability to see a persons energy signature. similar to the ability to see ones aura but instead based on being able to see ones elemental affinity or if one has no elemental affinity. If one has no elemental affinity than it would show up as Energy, a pure white force with a light blue outline commonly known as Ki. The concentration of such Energy or Ki would be the difference between one being a warrior or a commoner.

Light Barrier: Link casts a Near Invisible Barrier on any or all party members, this barrier is a light based barrier with the diameter of 8 feet that dampens Magic based attacks causing them to be around 35% less effective in battle, this can be the difference between life and death in specific situations. One would be able to witness ones magics lower in size and potency.

Wind Barrier: Link casts a Near Invisible Barrier on any or all party members, this barrier is a wind based barrier that slows all projectiles including elemental ones by 50%, though the diameter of the Barrier is only 8 feet this gives the Ally that extra split second to avoid critical damage or if fast enough damage at all.

+++++++++++++++++++

Status Land Mines: Link touches his hands to the ground casting up to 6 total mines one after another into the playing field. These mines can be set up to 200 feet away if necessary. Each mine takes a total of 2 seconds to cast. Casting more than 6 mines in a row is too taxing to Link's body. If Link chose to cast less than 6 consecutive mines he may easily cast the remaining till 6 is reached. Once 6 are on the playing field a 5 minute cool-down time is activated until any more mines can be placed. If mines still exist on the playing field once that 5 minute cool-down period met Link may easily cast 6 more into the field thus stacking the amount of mines in the field even higher. Status Land Mines are only set off my the opponent or targets exact energy signature thus keeping them from being set off by anything or anybody else.

Deactivate: Deactivates all Mines created by Link. Doing so resets the cool-down time making it so Link has to wait at least 5 minutes again to use any Status Land Mine Technique again.

Shock Mine: As the name states once activated has a high potential of stunning the target for up to 5 seconds causing slight damage as well.

Flash Mine:
Once activated a light flash of light energy will emit 360 degrees around the opponent for 5 seconds giving a high chance of temporary blindness. This attack can be avoided by closing your eyes although closing your eyes every time you take a step would be foolish.

Aero Mine: Once activated an area of spikes created from condensed wind energy would shoot up a foot off the ground with a 3 foot diameter, although they are spikes they only do damage to ones nervous structure of the feet bypassing anything else. This causes the opponent to loose a lot of dexterity as far as human movement goes.

Aero Blast Mine: Once activated a high velocity charge of wind blows out from underneath the opponent in a direction predetermined by Link when planting, this sends the opponent flying backwards varying distances depending on the opponents physical mass.

Lightning Blast Mine: Once activated a high velocity charge of Electricity is discharged under the opponents feet causing a low level explosion to either damage or knock the opponent off-course or off-balance depending on their physical mass. Causes a huge fear factor in many opponents.

Healing Techniques:

Healing Touch: Link uses his proficiency in Light to create a First-Aid effect onto someone via touch of the damaged area, this is a pinpoint healing technique allowing quick patch-up fixes during battle. This is a temporary healing technique, casting of this technique has a low tax on Link but consecutive use starts to diminish the healing effect. Mostly used to stop bleeding and mend broken bones. Does nothing for pain. Continues fighting after mending of ones wound is ill-advised as the healed point is now a weak-point..

Healing Aura: Link uses his proficiency in Light to create an Aura around ones body, this Aura gives a first-aid effect upon the body healing all of ones wounds within a time period of 60 seconds depending on the degree of damage on the person. This Technique is a end-battle type Technique, all other Techniques must be deactivated before use of this Technique. This technique takes complete concentration and interruption of that concentration causes Link taxation. After completion of this technique the healed person would not be at full fighting potential until one has gotten a full nights rest.

High-Level Techniques:

Last Hope:
Link has yet to perfect this technique, so far casting of this technique makes Link feint from taxation immediately but still successfully casts. The current outcome of this technique creates a shielding barrier devoid of anything but light surrounding all party members. This shield blocks any and all attacks of all Energy types including pure energy until the barriers limits are met via extreme barrier punishment [about 60 seconds of non-stop attacking of any kind] if left alone the barrier would last as long as 3 minutes or until Link cancels it. This is purely a defensive last resort technique as the members inside the barrier may NOT cast any offensive skills or attacks, basically they are trapped within the barrier as well as the opponent trapped outside the barrier.. Maybe upon training Link could learn to cast this without feinting but even so it would be extremely taxing on him and be a last resort only type technique only used to save his party from total annihilation giving them the time to cast aid-type skills to either use teleportation magics to get out of the area or heal the party for one last hope for life.

Last Shot:
Link has discontinued training of this technique from the fear of a repeat of the first backfire created by using this technique. It was first thought up as Link's first fully offensive based attack but upon his first cast of the technique there was a massive explosion from clashing Light and Wind energy that took out a half acre of forest from where Link was training nearly causing the end of his life as well.

======================================================

Personality: over Link's life he has developed a light humorous laid back personality. Link has always been a softer kinder man, raised mainly by his mother his personality swayed more towards a caring loving person than a hard fierce person. He loves to teach, always smiling when in class.

This spoiler button opens information I've mentioned bfore. This includes STORY CONTEXT, IN-WORLD SETTING and a bit of UNIVERSE THEORY.
Skip it/do not click it if you do not wish to read it again.

Spoiler for Hiden:

Now...

Welcome, to Za Waludo. ... nah just kidding. *refere~nce*

-------UNIVERSE CONTEXT-------

"Who I am isn't important. You are presently setting foot in a world you yourself do not fully understand. It may look like you do, you may feel like you do, but you don't. Life on Earth isn't the same as the Earth you know. You are setting foot in the parallel world - while very likely to your own - vastly different. In this world, there are, like in your world, ordinary people. And the ordinary people see the world as ordinary, special days when the lottery is won or when a newborn is cherished, but it is still ordinary. In a parallel representation of your 21st century here, on Earth, life looks -to a certain degree- just like yours. The human race is the most commonly known race to walk the globe and interact with each other and is still widely believed to be the only one to effectively do so, still limiting other life forms that have yet to prove the power of speech as "animals", vulgar as they seem. Most of our technology is the same as yours and it is rare to see individuals using anything more advanced than yours here except in obvious situations. The planet as you know it isn't the same either. It was divided in 8 Lands, which are equivalent to your Continents. Each land possesses Regions, which you might refer there as Countries, and each Region possesses many Settlements, which you also possess in your world, however usually contained in Provinces or States. Not in this world. Here, only Lands, Regions and their settlements are mentioned. That and the seas and the oceans. During recent events in our complete history, we have completely lost an entire Land, obliterated and sunk during a great war, but life went on - not undisturbed, but still. While this is a major difference, it is perhaps the widest one, and you should not feel too alienated to our planet Earth.

Also, you are currently reading what in our world we call Peral. While your world calls it English, that word means nothing here to us. Likewise, we ignore the signification of your words like Japanese, Latin, Greek, Italian, French, German or Russian, but I can tell you that here we have named them "Zeto", "Izop", "Meyt", "Lilon", "Mawa", "Keyd", and "Hsuk" respectively. You very well may never need to even pronounce those words here, but they are what they are, and not what you call them, in this place.

Like you, our Earth is not the center of the universe. Yes, we still call it the universe. We also call what it is nestled in a solar system. We are still the third rock from the sun and Pluto (yes, we call it like that too) is indeed, like your researchers found, not a planet. We only have one of each season you have and not more than one moon, giving us a single cycle of day and night. Like yours, as you can probably guess already, you can breathe the ambient air. You still cannot, unfortunately, breathe water or in space, for example.

I can understand that I am probably boring you with this explanation of how likely to your world ours is without being the same, and while I think it is important, I also feel you know enough to brave the rest. Just remember that it is quite like yours. Except the lands, not much else has changed from yours except wording. Perhaps only a few things. I am then going to tell you what I believe is what you really wish to know.

The world you are stepping in is a world where you, a character in another chronicle through time, are not someone ordinary. You are what people would call a "Hero". Something about you is special, and it isn't a day or an event; it is yourself. The world will most likely see you as ordinary, because you do not look, at first glance, special. You yourself might find yourself ordinary, but as much as you wish it, you are not. You will never be. But you are not alone.

In this world, other people, appearing as ordinary people, are special, and there have been people like that since the first days of time. While ordinary people see life as ordinary most of the time, you can see more of the world, because you are special. However, since you see more of the world, it is easier for you to see people like yourself, and it is easier for these people to see you as someone that isn't ordinary.

In this world, people in general don't know it, but there is such a thing as magic, powers and supernatural abilities, geniuses in more than professions and secret battles of glory. The possibility scares the people and they widely deny it, as they rely on technology, religion and Law. They are scared of the reality of what is special and deny its existence, but they are wrong. As far as I know, they have been wrong for at least a century.

The problem is this: not everyone that is a Hero is a good person, nor are they all bad, but some are of one and some are of the other. You, most likely, happen to be a good one. However, you have indeed, good or bad, stepped in a world of monsters, good or bad as well. You are walking in a world where, separated from the ordinary life, there are dangers that ordinary people cannot fathom, dangers that ordinary people believe are only seen in nightmares and the dark confines of the imagination, and individuals so powerful - monstrously and horrifyingly more powerful than you, even - that the ordinary world cannot begin to accept as close to a probability of possible. But you, being special, will know that it is indeed true, and that it is indeed real, and that can, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst, see that you are not one of the ordinary people. Those individuals are sometimes surprising. Most people die, but some of the special ones do not. Some of these immensely powerful beings can be older than your grandfather is or was or younger than yourself, and can either help you or crush you.

What the ordinary people do not see or understand and that you must if you wish to live on and survive, for now, is that nothing in this world is easy. In your world, they say life is hard, but I know for a fact that your world has no one "really" special. Here, on Earth, life is hard, and for the special people, surviving is. In your case, being a good person, saving them, your loved ones, or the planet itself, is even harder. But you are special, and most people are not. Somewhere in you rests the responsability to do something about it, and nothing about it will be easy. Nothing ever was for people like you, here on Earth.

However, the reason you are stepping in is not because you are given a chance to see our world; it is because there is something you must do. And that moment is soon. Soon enough.

Right now, you know nothing of this, and your life, even if special, doesn't seem to need your special presence. Nothing I am saying right now can reach you, and maybe never will. One day, your potential will simply awaken, and your choices simply appear. I feed your subconscious with that knowledge, and it is now your turn to become the one of the most special beings there ever existed.

Live the world. Live the life. Make your choices and cherish your moments.

You, my friend, will write the Vast Struggle...

-RK

Now GM talking...

-------IMMEDIATE SETTING-------

Right now, no matter who you are going to incarnate, you are an Asurian, at least temporarily, as I said before. We are in the large city of Saka. Five of you (Abigail, Ookami, Raeyn, Jin and Mathios) are students and one of you (Link) a teacher in a high-level educational institution called the "High Collegial Institute of Saka", basically for people that are super proficient in specific fields and where they go to get even darn better.

For those students:
If you're accepted in that school, you're pretty darn good and you should know it. At least in your program. Marks are hard to obtain and are usually worked for very seriously. Some students there, however, do not need to put more effort because they are already unusually talented. THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BE A GENIUS, you can still be trying VERY damn hard and studying your ass off to get marks, as it's entirely possible. And actually likely. Especially in special programs, where the competition is horridly heated.

For the teacher:
That means that even if your personality says otherwise, you are expected to be stern and strict about your lessons (doesn't mean that every teacher is a pain in the ass, a lot are laid back. In your domain, it's possibly even "zen"). The marks must be deserved and there's no free pass. Just rewarded effort.

We are currently on the second week of June. In this environment, this represents the end of the last semester of our programs (for those in their final year).  Note however that a special format of this series is to avoid precise dates and days of the month as much as possible. The goal is to finish the events of this story by a time limit of one novel-year.

You will have to show your character from the morning of the Monday of that last week. This whole week is only last exams, and they are going to be tough; even the geniuses are going to go at them seriously. In four days is the Prom Night and in five is the  ACC (that is how the student body calls the Award and Completion Ceremony). The end of the latter event triggers the actual summer vacation and the first day after their completed programs. For the teachers, it requires getting their stuff ready for the next batch of students.

For the past few weeks, a bit earlier for the early birds, people have been going left and right getting and asking for their dates for the Prom Night, basically the reward for their hard efforts and last respite before they learn their fate; sink or swim. Desires and wishes for such demands, in reception or offering, are a very basic and common conversation topic, especially amongst the female student body. That and the final exams, which scores more or less, depending on the person, the same level of importance as the actual nightly event. Students are allowed to stay at home to study during the final weeks and are required to show up to school only when they are to be tested on the same day. However, some students stay at school all day and every day while some simply don't show up for a reason or another.

The teachers, on their side, are basically almost walking unnoticed except by some students and the whole teacher cast, of course, and their only minding is the preparation of worthy tests for the students until last Friday, which was the hand-in deadline for their exam formats. Next Wednesday is their deadline for handing in their vote or propositions for participation and nominations for the ACC in their respective classes.

The school has been very busy in general. A lot of students come and go and a great majority of them use the library to study in peace and quiet.

That means that you two, Zeiven and James, have most likely been kept very busy in your respective occupations, without worry. Smiley

A banquet has been set up by the direction, consisting of the band that will play the songs during Prom Night and the food, which also features a lot of baked goods and sweets.

Most of the people in the student body-even in third year, were not yet born or were too young to remember when the Great Conflict happened, and do not fully understand its true magnitude or the consequences it risked on their world. What they do know is what people have been saying and what some parents may have told: a Great war that sprung between six very powerful individuals and an unknown race of violent and diabolical creatures that called themselves the DaemonSpawn, the population wearing down and greatly reduced. Everyone knows of that war, that it happened, they are just not all aware of how much it impacted their life as their parents would, for example, and not many actually believe the DaemonSpawn were actually a race of very powerful and supernatural creatures that came from a parallel universe to lay waste to the world.

That is because the theory of magic's existence is still widely denied and refused, mostly believed to be ridiculous even. People are completely oblivious to the existence of such a thing as magic or supernatural creatures or happenings. Most teenagers and young adults believe that the fact that the six Heroes had any kind of special ability was only folklore and legend to amuse the youngest, who are very fond of such stories. But some know it in fact did happen.

People find it hard to believe, in fact, even after an organization calling themselves Terra Ward was built up and made themselves public shortly after the Great Conflict's events, indeed claiming out publicly that they would do the best in their power to prevent such a disastrous series of events from striking humankind again, be it man-made or supernatural like the DaemonSpawn was.

However, not even them know where the original six Heroes had hidden away the DaemonSpawn Gate. At least, not entirely: only the leading head of department and the head of research knew of that location and it hasn't been disclosed since it the information was given to him by Lady Fatina ("Lady" and "Lord" are titles commonly given to very important people in event like wars or legends. Meeting one of these individuals and not granting them the title they deserve when addressing them is considered a grave offense or lack of respect, it is simple international tradition) twenty-one years ago.

Nonetheless, Terra Ward has organized an efficient if sometimes radical control of crime and the underworld domain as well as put up (publicly) their main seat, situated in Yver, the central metropolis of the MainLand, as the most advanced technological research and distribution output on the globe. They fund great causes and seem to hold their bargain of protecting mankind very at heart. They also commonly scour the world in search of talented and/or gifted individuals in the realm of science or technology. Most people in Terra Ward do not believe in magic or do not support it. It is common knowledge that uttering purposes of magic to anyone related to Terra Ward is considered nonsense and a waste of time, as they trust only technology and claim to be able to protect the world without something as mythical and "fake" as magic or the supernatural. That their goal is to destroy threats possibly using those means and that their technological superiority can overcome any disaster if they put their mind to it. It is rare, if not impossible, to find a Terra Ward agent (and not to mention a researcher) who is not up to date with technological factors and the newest inventions, sometimes sporting some on their person themselves.

While their advancements have been more or less regular and constant, thirteen years ago there was an announcement that the Head of the Research division working for Terra Ward, Nathan Shinevale, age 35 and a great mind exemplary to any and all techno maniacs, had passed away. Almost as if losing their edge, the organization's research advancement per year rate dropped by almost 80% in a single year and has only shallowly recovered. Leaks of information brought the rumour to some locations that, at the time, there had actually been a turncoat and rebellion operation inside of the agency and that this is how Professor Shinevale had lost his life. However, that information is classified and highly guarded by Terra Ward officials. Having studied in the HCIS (High Collegial Institute of Saka) in his youth, on the school grounds front yard, right before the school flag, was erected a statue in the professor's memory.

In other news, (from story start time) the last week has brought rumour of something a bit more urgent and a tad less reassuring. Especially in college, since dismissed by adults in general, ignored by common society as too small a fact to put attention and too far ahead for lower levels (except of course some cases), the rumour of what is commonly referred to as "The Dark Angel", an individual or - for spooking purposes to many - a creature that appeared only after dusk and that did not seem to strike any predetermined location, had attacked different military or research personnel during the night without any disclosed particular motive. However, most people dismiss it, even in college, as a big prank or as nonsense, especially in the creature context. It hasn't appeared in the news or any significant article, and since people go missing or die from accidents every day, it generally has the same incidence on the general population (that includes us) as a chain-email prank. Perhaps it has attained the people's curiosity, but no one has brought report of a clear sighting, proof, traces or a lead. It is a matter left alone. However, a lot of the girls in the collegial level are talking about it, as well as some of the boys (just a majority of girls), some finding it pretty cool, the vast majority being worried about going out alone at night and fearing genuine danger. You are told this because it is somewhat part of the hot stuff people talk about when you'll enter the story. Basically, obviously, context.

That is about it for now as to what consists of the main immediate contextual approach to the story when you depart. It is currently 4am and I may have forgotten a part or two, although at the moment I doubt it. If you need any important question, I am person you have to ask and make your responsibility to do so, because I am the best reference there is about that universe I created.

Oh! I'll add this:
I'll say it again: You're all Heroes, yes, but that means you're stepping in a world that is a lot more cruel and dangerous than your videogames. I don't want to make that happen and will avoid it at MANY costs, but you could theoretically very well die. Like I said once to Zeiven:

"[...] In terms of raw power I mean, This chapter, following suit, becomes harder and harder. Everyone here is entering a world much more dangerous than the real world or its hero-based video games. There ARE fights you cannot win, maybe NEVER win. There ARE fights where you need to run. There are ALWAYS ennemies too strong for you. Technically but not practically (because I'm too nice <.<), you CAN die, in this world. You WILL need help, and sometimes, even then you WILL lose. There are some things you WILL NOT know or understand, and someone probably has that answer and you don't!
People are still looking at this as a cakewalk! The moments you put those boots on written "I'm a Hero" on them You asked me to [...] bash you on the head and NOT stop. And I need to make everyone understand that. Of course there's victories, and hard ones as well. Of course, because if not we'd be losers. But YES, I WANT you guys to make your characters sit down, catch their breath and go "F***CK we gave it our all!". I WANT them to go "No... no maybe, just MAYBE we can do this." and still lose, sometimes. I WANT them to see something, look at themselves, count what they have going for them, and go "No, NO! Run! RUN! START RUNNING NOW! I SAID RUN!!!". People do NOT understand this is NOT easy! [...]"

And so on and so on. <.<

I've come across several of you and I've put that point clear, but this time, it's clearer than ever. If THAT's not clear, come to me and I'll make it clearer. No worried; nicely. I'm not a tyrant. Smiley

Also, if anyone here is expecting all of the cast to remain fair, think again. First off, right off the boards, don't be confused and do not rage or be surprised: Mathios is balanced for now. He's not designed to stay so for long, and for good reasons. Story, plot and interactions wise. And I've no need to explain this. And I refuse to spoil you the story. Basically, this is more of a "game" in between all of yourselves and slightly less in my case. It is majorly, still, mostly a story. So please be serious, mature and fairplay amongst each other. Sorry if sometimes I cannot follow this line. You have all been warned.

Also, I will try to keep everyone levelled and balanced. But if people try really hard and advance a lot faster, obviously their characters have better chances of growing than just walking around with the group. By that I obviously mean in abilities and power.

Oh! Two more things: It's not impossible to split up, but DO NOT split up the story for as much! We need to progress. If we can keep a steady rhythm, there will be time to reach your personal goals. Also, if you are in character, you should not have any problem with that.

Second thing is: remember that I NEVER meant that one on one fights were banished (they're very central), but that I ALSO NEVER said that groups were not meant to be made and broken, as far as battle goes. Alliances formed and broken, even if character links remain (sometimes) is interesting, and it doesn't always come out to best to ALWAYS team up against every enemy. I'll let you be the judge of that.

Just remember that this is a story containing a mini-game. Not the contrary. Smiley

Thank you for joining the Vast Struggle

And PLEASE!

Good job everyone! First posts are making their way ^^.

I am especially lol'ing at how we're all having a Sam subplot right now. Although it might turn paradoxical if we're not all following time sequences right!

So let me get this straight...

   8 ish: Sam gets rejected
8:55 ish: Sam is being consoled by friends, is spotted by Ookami and Abegail
12:00 (now fixed): I escort Sam to my office, where I give her counsel.

We'll make it work, somehow Tongue

I believe that's right!
Your post was awesome, Zanny. Very different from the rest of our exam-y ones with its own personality.
I've tried to add you on MSN but it hates adding people.
