Have you guys heard of this application? It makes USB sticks pretty much obsolete.

The free version is 2Gb, you guys should check it out.
You wont be needing USB sticks for any school documents and such ever again.

Check out this introduction:

What is Dropbox?

Go download it from HERE.
(If you register with that link you give me 250mb increase too, so I'd appreciate it. ;3)

I have to download a program? Or is this just a program on one computer and then you can access it from the webz anywhere else?

Yeah, it's an app you install, it creates a folder that syncs the stuff you drag into it.
And updates it at once on any other computer you have it installed (like your secondary laptop).

It's kinda like having a shared folder on your windows computer/mac/cellphone.

And yeah you can access em from their website too.

As long as you've got an Internet access you'll always have access to it.

Try it out, it's fucking amazing.

Damn, I should've suggested this long ago to get the extra space.
I've had it downloaded but found no real use for it yet. I'll most likely use it for something in the near future.

Red, this is great!  I've installed the application on my desktop Yomako and will install it on my laptop Yoko tomorrow.  The Dropbox application seems much more straightforward than does Comcast's Secure Backup and Share system; and it's much more versatile, too.  Yay!

I registered via that link you posted, so hopefully that'll help.  Thanks a bunch for letting us know about this!

I'll give this a shot. It'll be handy for schoolwork and work-related documents.

I don't think I would find this useful for what I do. USB keys are still very useful in my job. (especially since we have a crap connection at work.)

(I was searching for something else but I came across this)
http://storecrowd.com/blog/dropbox-hacks/

I was meant to get a link from Lifehacker but this'll do.

There are some neat things you can do with Dropbox bar the file sharing. I especially like being able to host just a small webpage. Neat way just to show something off.

Very awesome indeed.

And as I've said before, use your dropbox as your doc folder, keep all your important shit there.
Already saved me once. >_>

Considering to get the upgrade so I can keep all my private pictures and such there.
