Thanks, Orion - and Red.  Well, I didn't mean to spoil it for anyone; but I understand it's something to be avoided and will try to do better, in that regard, henceforth.

Here's the second and last installment of those Episode 4 screen captures featuring the Bachikas.  I think they make excellent still images, myself - perhaps even desktop wallpapers!  If you click on these images, you'll access their 1280 x 720 originals.

P.S.:  I'm going to try finding other screen captures of the Black Brotherhood/Siblings, ones which aren't the smallish size I get from my local machine.  Unfortunately, nobody has screen-captured the entire series - let alone in a quality manner.  One person on LiveJournal made very good screen captures, but she only got through Episode 5 before mysteriously stopping.  We may end up being stuck with either fan art (which can be quite good) or screen captures half the size of those you see here.

Once I get more in the series I will do screen caps of my DVDs for you Flyvapnet. I had made some scans of the DVD covers that I did for Red to play with. Perhaps he will post the edited versions at some point.

!! I barely have any of these also siblings, but I'll try my best to rummage! Kinon definitely did get weird in the end =__= I was totally WHAAAT!? When Kiyal married that dude (whose name escapes me at the moment - Dayakka?). Kiyoh is always youthful!

Aww, MoMor, they're cute!  An entire anime-and-manga series could easily have been built around Yoko Ritona and the Bachika sisters:  female commandos fighting the good fight against an oppressive occupying armed force, righting wrongs, doing good deeds, etc.  There's a definite lack of imagination in the anime/games/manga industry.  It creates some excellent female characters, but then throws them away just when they're coming into their own.

I'm sorry Gainax didn't develop Kiyal Bachika's character much at all.  I believe she had great potential - as did Kiyoh, in whom Gainax didn't seem very interested either.  They only seemed interested in Kinon and had her fall for the anal-retentive bigot Rossiu Adai.  Then they had Kiyoh marry Dayakka Ritona, who was old enough to be her father but at least wasn't deranged like Rossiu.  I appreciated Kiyal, who was rather like a feral and unsophisticated version of a much-younger Yoko Ritona.  What became of Kiyal after the war?  I guess we'll never know.

MoMor, it was Kiyoh who married Dayakka; but yeah, either he's too old for her or she's too young for him.  That pairing really threw me for a loop!  But one never knows, does one?  Maybe they'll have a wonderful marriage.  They've a daughter already, so....

Is Dayakka really that much older? Do we have any official ages on the characters? :p
Before the timeskip Id guess she was atleast 17, she looks older than Yoko. >_>

Maybe there's 5 years between em?


Ive seen much bigger age differences in real life. :p
