Anyhow, try be creative and make a thread related to Canaan, or atleast post here, its for the greater good of the forums.

So, who's everyone's favorite character? When I think about it, I like a couple different characters for many different reasons. However, if I had to pick just one, it'd be Canaan. I always thought it would be neat to experience life the way synesthetes do, and I enjoy her strong sense of justice/mysteriously aloof/unsolcialized character.

Yeah Canaan, the whole show is more or less focused on her, it's her story.

I feel this show could have been quite a bit longer, now I havent seen 13 yet,
but i feel many of the characters still have a lot to tell. Sham is especially interesting imo.

I still have no idea what is up with Maria.. She is just weird.


Alphard is an interesting villain too.


Also.. Am I the onlyone who have noticed the inteeense girl on girl vibes in this show? ;p

As a translator, I got so sick of Maria's constant barrage of, "Sugoi! Sugoi!" She's definitely an airhead/ditz character imho.

PS: I totally noticed that vibe, too. There was one scene where they take a good, long look at each other and I thought, "Omfgz, don't tell me they're gonna kiss >_<..."

I think Liang-Qi was a pretty intense woman. I'd be scared to mess with her. xP

Maria's SUGOI! is pure annoyance every time I hear her utter those words.... >_>

Her obsession with Alphard was pretty intense though and I think it added some drama into the storyline. That's why I sorta like her. Plus, she was just crazy. xP

What was it, ep 11, where she dies? That scene was the most powerful on in the whole series for me.

Liang Qi is definitely the most interesting character. I love how she hits Cummings with that air gun, and how every time she does it they cue up the crazy music and prolong the part where she points the gun at him, so it tricked me into thinking it was real every time. And that meltdown in ep 11 was classic. Freaked the living crap out of me. The only part that could potentially rival it is when Canaan's holding onto Alphard's hand on the train. Oh, and Hakkou's necrophilia. That made me eyes pop out of their sockets.

My least favorite character had to be Maria. As K said, she was the typical airhead/ditz and I feel the show would've been a great deal better (not that it wasn't good, though) had they had a stronger character in her role. I guess part of hat was interesting is how Canaan could have a relationship with someone who's the exact opposite of her. Maybe the show *gag*... needed Maria...?

Just catching up on some anime and thought I'd better watch this.
Loving it and I've only watched 7 episodes.

Sham is a really interesting character taking on the same mission twice, etc. I would like to see more of him.

I FINALLY watched this series! all in one sitting! It was an amazing (SUGOI!) experience! I really hope there's a second season.. do you guys think there'll be one?

I liked all the characters, least being Alphard. Maria kind of reminded me of Minori from Toradora! in that she as the 'airhead/ditzy' character but 'secretly' being emo on the side LOL

I'd rather there not be a second season; I think it'd risk becoming too formulaic/boring if that were to happen. However, since Alphard didn't die and current marketing trends in the gaming/anime industry seem to favor sequels, I'm sure it'll happen one way or another...even if they need to get a different studio and such t do it.
