Really not a huge fan of how "old" Yoko looks. -_- Especially how her face looks on the right, on the last pic momor posted. Anyways Flyvapnet, where'd you get that nick from/what does it mean? lol Fly gvapnet means the airforce in swedish. lol Okey well here's a weird one. xD

That's an excellent picture of Yoko, Red! It's one of my favorites, in fact, along with the one I previously posted. Which reminds me: I'll have to post more images in this thread, especially since one picture is supposedly worth a thousand words; and you wouldn't want me posting one-thousand words rather than a nice image of beautiful Yoko! Ah yes, Flyvapnet. Well, I used the moniker Mr. Cat for ages, but a few years ago I began getting "this name is already in use" error messages when I'd register at places on the Web. It's nonsense, of course, since I've never seen a Mr. Cat on line apart from myself. Nevertheless, a change was in order. At about that time, I'd purchased a backpack from a military-surplus shop. According to the proprietor, it was surplus from "some Scandinavian air force." As I was active on several Björk boards in those days, I asked the various memberships if anyone could translate the writing on that backpack. One of the words was "Flyvapnet" (a "y" and not a "g") and a gal from Finland or The Netherlands or someplace told me it meant "air force" in Norwegian or Swedish -- I really can't remember. So, regardless of what it means or what language it is, I decided it would be sufficiently unusual so that I could adopt it as my new user name and not run into the "that name is already in use" malarkey anymore. =^..^=

I wish I'd have known you back when I took my present user name, Red, so I could have used either the Norwegian or Swedish correct spelling. Alas! It's too late now. Anyway, here's what's printed on the back of my backpack: FLEKKEFJORD
LÆRVAREFABRIKK ____________
"FLYVAPNET" So here's one of my favorite images of Yoko Ritona: it's from the first episode of the anime series. She's taking cover after having attacked the enemy vehicle single-handed, disabling it. She persisted in warning Kamina and Simon to run for cover, a sound piece of advice which they finally heeded. This is a big scan, which you can download by simply clicking on the image below: =^..^=

Hmm, I have 3 folders full of pictures similar to the ones posted in here, 'bout 1700 pictures. Lot's are probably duplicates though.

I know what you mean, Dai Kov. Whenever I see a good-quality image of Yoko Ritona I snag it and put it in one of the "Individual files" folders (four so far) inside my "Yoko Ritona" folder. So, hey, post your favorite Yoko images here! (Please?) They don't have to be produced by Gainax, as you can see in spite of this thread's title, but can be fan art too. Thank you. =^..^=

Dai Kov, thanks a bunch for posting those Yoko images. The one in the upper left, time-skip Yoko, is excellent! I've got the others, but I don't think I've seen that upper-left one before. Wow! It's quite a stunning depiction of Yoko-chan, with excellent anatomy and great drama. Regarding considerations of appropriateness as it pertains to images not suitable for this thread, there's always that deep lake.... Red, thanks for nailing down the source of those words to Norway! Wouldn't you know, my user name defies translation! Does this mean I'm special, or just an embodiment of misspelled words? =^..^=

That's really cool stuff, momor! It's impossible not to smile at that first one! Then comes Cutie-Pie Yoko, followed by Totally-Awesome Yoko and finally Very-Dangerous Yoko. I like the combination! =^..^=

Thanks a bunch for posting that montage artwork of Yoko, momor! It's one of my favorites, too. Yeah, Yoko is really cute when she's pouting; she's also totally cute when she's embarrassed -- and sometimes even when she's mad. I love her beautiful range of facial expressions. Well, that series of screen captures is a moment from the series I cherish. Firstly, it shows Yoko's excellent mastery of martial arts; and secondly, it's a pay-back time that was long overdue. I know Kamina is popular with a lot of people, but I'm not one of them. (I'll refrain from further explanation.) So, shoot me! I absolutely love that final capture, with Yoko in her victory stance. You go, girl! =^..^=
