Yeah, Red, that's something which happens in wartime.  Countless millions of male combatants over the millennia have kissed their girlfriends or wives good-bye on the eve of battle, only to be killed in action subsequently.  One gal whom I know was in her first trimester of pregnancy when she got the dreaded telegram, stating her husband had been killed in action.  He'd only been in the Second Indochina War combat zone for a couple of weeks.  (This was the day before Christmas in 1968.  I was still over there; but Viet-Nam is a big country and I never knew the man, since he was down south near the Mekong River delta and I was up north near the Demilitarized Zone.)  I'm thinking they probably kissed when he left to go over there.

'THE DESERT ROSE'

Yes, a body gets hot out in the desert during the day and cold at night.  Long before her single-handed assault on an enemy armored vehicle at Jeeha village, Resistance fighter Ritona Yoko had operated alone in carrying out long-range reconnaissance patrols and combat patrols.  She knew how to survive in that pitiless desert environment, an advantage she held over the enemy.  But it does get hot out there and a body's got to cool off....
