This hasn't actually happened yet, though supposedly a bunch of new/fake accounts created with tempemail services have porn uploaded to the accounts, they're set to private so they don't get flagged. On June 12th they say that all the accounts are going to make the said videos public, thereby flooding youtube with porn -_-

As much as I wish the plethora of argumentative idiots who post comments at 4chan would drop dead, Jun, I'm mystified by 4chan itself being blamed for these supposedly-pornographic incursions into YouTube.  I read that article you linked and still don't know how they can assert 4chan itself - i.e., the administration and/or ownership - is causing this dilemma.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if people who frequent 4chan are behind the invasion of "pornography" at YouTube, but I'm not finding facts which would substantiate the claim 4chan's management is involved.  I'd like to know of such facts, if anyone can find them.  Bear in mind a call to flood YouTube with "pornography" can easily be posted to 4chan, but that doesn't mean it's condoned by the Web site's management.

This isn't a defense of 4chan but rather a criticism of unsubstantiated accusations.  YouTube ain't what it used to be, that's for sure; and 4chan is only bearable if one peruses the images and avoids reading comments, many of which are posted by cretins who enjoy ad hominum attacks.

Thank you, Jun, for those links!  Well, all I can find are assertions such as:  "YouTube was busy deleting porn videos on Wednesday after users of forums at a rival site and an imageboard site declared a 'Porn Day' campaign against the popular video service."  What if some of those "users" also used forums at other Web sites, such as Antievolution.org Discussion Board?  Perhaps the corporate mainstream media of communication could then run with this headline:  "Intelligent Design Proponents Flood YouTube With Pornography."

Do you see what I'm getting at?  It's guilt by association.  It's, shall we say, "sexier" to blame 4chan rather than merely state YouTube is being inundated (if it is) with pornography.  Corporate mainstream media of communication love doing this sort of thing.  Like, if I walked outside with a pistol and shot some passer-by they'd run the headline "Danbooru Member Shoots Innocent Bystander."  It's a journalism thing I'm talking about.  They should just have reported what was happening and not made a misleading connection with 4chan in order to sex up the story for circulation and/or ratings.

it's definitely more of a /b/ thing.. though I feel /b/ defines 4chan. I stopped going to /b/ a long time ago. However, I'm definitely still on /a/ because it's amusing.

Oh anon, you card.
