This is Umi. One of the encoders for Anco. I was asked by Kryss to do a guide for encoding since well, 1-touch encoders suck. This guide of course is not a be all and end all guide since well each dvd/transport stream/jewtube video has its own quirks and there is a reason why you don't see many good competent guides out there.
There's just way too much info and most encoders like me are actually lazy, arrogant, fucking asses who like to sit back and troll videos about what should be filtered and what video encoding parameters should be used blah blah blah.
This will be an ongoing guide. I can't type out all this shit in 1 sitting.
So I shall start off with what one needs to have installed. This stuff is all free of course.
DVD Decryptor/DVDFab - To rip yer video and give a big fuck you to the mpaa/riaa

http://www.virtualdub.org/MeGUI - if you want a gui for encoding x264 and muxing. you're better off learning cmd line instead since this prog has progressively become buggy
